Dang it john every time I have cereal for breakfast here you come and make me hungry again. Looks awesome and if my dad were alive we would be doing this one together for sure.
Great recipes, as usual. But my father died when I was a baby and the guy my mom married thinks I'm a complete p.o.s. believe me, the feeling is mutual, after all, I'm a world class chef with 25 years of proud experience and faithful service, meanwhile he stayed nice and safe in his little business in his little town, protecting his little piece of nothing.
And my experience as a father was cut tragically short and was probably the worst thing that ever happened to me.
Sorry, father's day is kinda a bitter time for me.

If you grill, bake, or nuke the potatoes, the dry potato starch absorbs the dressing so much better. Yes, it absorbs the bacon grease all the way to the center of the potato chunks!

Just out of curiosity, how about putting the pie plate on a substantial base of crushed ice [set out in a larger container of course] to control the rate of melting of the ice cream while you are doing the assembly? How well it works [or not] otherwise seems might be closely tied to the temperature of the kitchen / workspace you're doing this in.
Sadly, I'm getting old and I'm retired, and my kitchen is the size of a postage stamp, so I have little opportunity to experiment any more.

Just curious, I have a family member that has allergies to eggs. On the mancakes, would it be possible to drop the sugar and substitute the eggs for non sweet apple sauce? I know for some cookies and cakes you can make that substitute, would it work on these? Anyone know?? Thanks!

Please reveal where you got that amazing baking dish at 6:33 that you used for baked eggs. That would work great for large pie and casseroles.
The baked eggs look very good to me! Unfortunately, the only way my husband eats eggs is scrambled. Lol he also wouldn't like if I made the steak because he is excellent at making them and I always overcook or burn it. The other things will be great to make.

WAIT! 😳On behalf of my German grandmother, mom, & myself. "Thou shalt not eat German potato salad on the same day as you made it. Oh no! We always let it rest in the fridge overnight! That way, when you warm it up the next day the potatoes have soaked up all that bacon dressing goodness! Yum!🥔🥓😋
