I actually live about 20 minutes from this place. And I have heard about this so called " owner". Fyi, ultimately he ran the place into the ground. It has different owners currently. This guy was a embarrassment not only to the employees, but to the entire community. I would love to see the Monticello succeed, it's a beautiful building with a great history. Perhaps turned Into a cooking school, hotel school and and active wonderful kitchen and Motel. I wonder if it still has its Ballroom?

Shame this place is studio flats now, no one could get it to work as a hotel since it fell into his hands. Phil and ginger got into debt and had to sell the place (10m down the drain ffs) and the new owners ditched the staff and then it sold another 3 times before being made into studios
