Alexander Vindman: Meeting With Putin ‘Occurred About As Good As It Needed To’

  • Tidbit on December 9, 2021

We shouldn't care so much what Putin wants, F him, we should put scathing sanctions into effect even if he doesn't go further into Ukraine, as well as build up troops throughout Europe. We also need to make it clear that if sanctions don't force Russia to withdraw from Crimea and Eastern Ukraine then we will use military force to retake all of Ukraine.

Republicans claiming weakness towards Putin ! OMG! Trump kept Putin in velvet gloved admiration on one hand and a open grift hand with his other. Kept Putin's butt clean kissing it.

  • Elle Krimowa on December 9, 2021

Biden started the war in 2014 after the US launched coup that threw the country into civil war. And nobody cares what chicken hawks like Vindman has to say. Nobody wants a war with Russia you bloodthirsty warmongers.

  • Hasan Hyder on December 10, 2021

American mainstream media is always egging on their president to wage a war with Russia. Due to his old age and declining mental capacity may just do that. Well let's see who wins

  • Jan Smith on December 10, 2021

Vindman, an honourable man watching from down under.

  • Jack Bean on December 10, 2021

The way to fix this, is to bring Ukraine into NATO.

  • Anita Herron on December 10, 2021

America doesn't have the strength to militarily mess with Putin , therefore if you want to not suffer the consequences of Putin the u.s better back off because America is at risk of being invaded as well and destroyed America can no longer afford the consequences.

  • Eric Hoskins on December 10, 2021

The problem is, "Roman Jesus Christ" continues to think He's God.

  • Eb theDoc on December 11, 2021

Thanks, Mika and Joe Team. There’s an essential point that keeps getting sidelined in our Media (Col. Vindman takes it in stride, and I’m sure Mika Brzezynski understands it, as well). Today’s Russia cannot be measured by Western, democratic standards. Putin and his oligarch cronies are a fully-fledged, autocratic dictatorship, with total military control of their economy, courts, “legislature” and populace, and his state media blasting propaganda 24/7/365. That control is based upon projecting power, which means cultivating fears and touting “security” against “perceived enemies.” Beyond the Ukraine buildup, his puppet-partner in Byelorussia is pushing a “border crisis” that threatens, not just Poland, but the other Baltic countries, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, as well, and Finland, again. The only language dictators understand is POWER. Traitorous Trumpie let Vlad do as he pleased, but here’s my take-away from the Summit Zoom. Biden let Putin know: “We and our buddies are together on this. You keep that kinda crap up, and you will get seriously hurt…”

  • Judy Corso on December 11, 2021

Putin must really be bored as a short statured little bully leader ..no more lands to take over …hes bored and needs his friend Trump to come play over there with him…and take golden showers together again on the Golga!!!

  • Hilton Watkins on December 11, 2021

It is not the Ukrainian side that is seeing a build up of massive military means threatening Russia and using them to coerce weakened borders.
Putin knows what he is doing and will press for any sign that would allow him to push forward with a blitzkrieg. War is avoided by standing firm.

  • gregeoryl on December 11, 2021

    No secret private talks?

  • On Time on December 11, 2021

Somehow, I think puttins aggression with respect to Ukraine is given more life because it is winter. The winter season is difficult for people living in the northern European region and since Russia provides the fuel to heat homes it creates a certain hostage season for putins aggression. I think I recall this type of situation before and it was in winter.

  • Elliott Boomsluiter on December 12, 2021

Republicans have no right to criticise any interaction between Biden and Putin. After Trump betrayed the US intelligence community, by siding with a mad russian dictator over his own people. Disgraceful. You wanna talk about weakness…. HA!

  • Steve on December 12, 2021

No disrespect to Mr. Vindman however someone should have checked his collar and necktie.

  • Alexander Vindman on December 12, 2021

Enjoyed this conversation. Thanks for having me on.

  • Vince Zuani on December 12, 2021

All my Russian friends told me that Putin is the cancer of Russia, Russia is a criminal and a mobster running the show. The taken of Crimea was a big step well planned to use it as a strategical point to invade Ukraine in the future, Lukashenko is cooperating with Putin, allowing Putin to bring his military into Belarus, so the entire country of Ukraine can be surrounded, Putin’s plan is on time as far as European news has been shown. Why nobody is putting immediate sanctions to Belarus now for helping Putin?

  • Barry Walls on December 12, 2021

    That grammar though

  • Fran Varga on December 12, 2021

Interesting. Putin sees the insurrection and tr*mps refusal to concede as a weakness in our county. We need to deal with tr*mp and his treason team our we will not be able to function in world pollical conflicts.

  • Thats not funny on December 12, 2021

Wow this is pretty ugly. It's hard to trust.
    Damned weapons.

  • Mar Pro on December 12, 2021

Putin is laughing. The criminal Ugly American policy continues as usual. Poor Ukraine! Shame on the USA.

  • Boarlaw Attorneys At Law on December 13, 2021

USA and NATO orchestrated military coup in Ukraine in 2014. NATO and USA broke the NATO Russia 1997 founding act, moved NATO eastward, broke the OSCE agreement and supported Ukraine with weapons so Ukraine would not implement the Minsk agreement of 2015.

  • CFX W on December 13, 2021

Vindman will always be remembered as a TRAITOR to his country!!

  • RC on December 13, 2021

It weird….our own goverment dosen't believe this crap. What is the real opinion of our government? Minsk agreement? Why is noone talking about the pro Russian ukrainians? Before anyone can fight with Russia they must first fight the separatists. I feel like noone actually wants to stop this war.

  • RC on December 13, 2021

Yes….the only option Russia has is to use military….before Russia has that option we have the option to not use military against the pro Russian ukrainians. 🤔

  • RC on December 13, 2021

So Russia bullied Ukraine/usa into signing the Minsk agreement….hahaha. don't you mean they used commen sense so you didn't have an argument against them.

  • Hung Trinh on December 21, 2021

Biden corrupted family that allows Putin to black mail our nation and NATO.
