This argentinian film is based on the comic strip of the same name created and written by Roberto Fontanarrosa, who wanted to parody the style of the violent "american hero" like Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry or any other violent reprehensible character from the media. Most Fontanarrosa works were stories and urban argentinian folklore about normal people talking about their strange neighbours or talking about football or any funny bizarre character from the city or even the typical argentinian gaucho, like his most famous character in the country, Inodoro Pereyra. There's also another animated movie based on Roberto Fontanarrosa's drawings: Martín Fierro, which is also based in the popular argentinian novel of the same name.
