Irish, not British.
Gordon really said "why waste time say lot word when few word do trick"
I got very dizzy watching this lol. Such intensity!
Parmesan cheese? English food? No .this is not shepards pie
Waiting for season 2
When the Shepherd cook his own sheep
Zoom in closer, I want to see the atoms
That was the longest, most intense Edgar Wright transition sequence I've ever seen, Chef.
The one major problem with these videos is that they go so fast and there's no listing of quantities that it's basically impossible to replicate what Gordon is actually doing here. It would have at least been beneficial to see him prep his ingredients.
Sure, you can find a couple of blogs with the "recipe" based on this video, but they humorously all made it slightly differently. For example, the potato or ground lamb quantities are often 20% to even 100% different from each other (such as 500g to 1000g of minced lamb while the rest of the ingredients have very similar amounts). A difference of a factor of 2 is such a massive difference. Red wine ranges from 1/4 cup to 1 cup – a factor of 4. Like come on.
One curious thing is that every recipe called for 1/4 cup cream and several tablespoons of butter for the mash potatoes, but it's not actually listed in the actual video. That kind of mismatch is frustrating. I just wish the actual recipe was in the description.
Trying to find the recipe in the comments is a waste of time since there's 400+ posts from a bunch of people who clearly have no idea and are just guessing, just like the several blogs out there did. The only thing I'm even remotely certain about is that he used 1 large carrot, 1 white onion and 2 egg yolks. Everything else is a blur.
There's millions of Shepherds Pie recipe's on YouTube. That's the only one thats got cheese In the mash. I'm afraid I dislike Parmesan so I use Cheddar, some in and some on top. But that's the closest to the recipe I use.
this is just a watch him do not a how to
