I think death penalty cases should be resolved with a giant cannon aimed at a wall of spikes. But at one point along that wall is a section of air mattresses with more air mattresses underneath. The condemned has to climb into the cannon and then it gets fired, but here's the catch – the condemned get to aim the cannon! So if their aim is good and they hit the soft spot, they get to go free! I'd watch it.

  • Dean F. on April 27, 2022

I'll have more faith in the death penalty if a rich criminal is ever executed.

They need to execute the treasonous insurrectionists. trump reinstated the federal death penalty and said we used to know how to handle traitors. We should go with his standards for his people.

  • RazistanceMovement on April 28, 2022

We need reforms to the justice system first.

  • marmac on April 28, 2022

The Death Penalty MUST be ABOLISHED – NOW! If even ONE Innocent Person is Executed, that is Indeed – ONE TOO MANY! It is wholly Inhumane! It punishes poverty! It is Racist! It does NOT deter violent crimes! It is often even used to murder Political Prisoners! Keeping people on Death Row costs way more $$$ than does Life in Prison!
Too many outcomes are based on the biases of a Jury, who may not be anything remotely close to their PEERS! And did i remember to mention: If even ONE Innocent Person is Executed, that is Indeed – ONE TOO MANY!

  • enki Do on April 28, 2022

How utterly inhuman to imprison someone for 15 years under an ongoing threat of being deliberately killed for political reasons.

Then politicians and celebrities make political hay out of preventing it.

Yes worse things happen in the world, but surely not in peace time.

Even police extrajudicial killings do not subject the victims to decades of torture.

The evidence is all that matters. It's what the courts will look at. She may yet be executed for her crimes.
