What Dana (and other americans) miss is that there is a huge difference in sense of humour and the way we talk/interact between the USA and the UK but also within the UK, there is a huge difference between counties and even towns in the UK.

For anyone wondering what Jake did – you could hear on the broadcast at the end when Dana was talking to him, if you listen closely, he says something to the effect of "you're not very popular around here. Your driver didn't even want to drive you". So he must have said something in typical British humor that the driver shuttling him from the hotel to the Apex didn't get and took it as disrespectful. I feel for him, he looks legitimately confused as to what he did. You can hear it at the 2:25:36 mark on the broadcast.
