Deviled Egg Noodle Salad – Food Wishes ctm magazine

I’ve made a lot of pasta salads over the years, using just about every shape and size imaginable, with one notable exception…the egg noodle. I only came to this realization recently, when I was looking to make a “prop” pasta salad to sit next to some grilled pork. The cupboards were bare, except for a handful of egg noodles, and what started out as an afterthought, turned into an epiphany. Enjoy!

    That’s a lot of mayo

  • Serendipity Shop on August 25, 2020

Hardboiled egg would not make this any more problematic for a picnic because you already have the mayonnaise in there. Just bring a bigger bowl of ice to sit it in. Looks yummy.

    L👀ks really g👀d.

  • Lizzie Cody on September 2, 2020

Really good! Very tangy. I added tomatoes and grated Parmesan cheese and I think it was delicious. My 8 year old agreed.

HAAHAHH when I read the title that's exactly what I thought! Deviled eggs salad!

  • Grape TomatoGirl on September 14, 2020

I’m getting the same feeling I got when I watched Townsends ‘Kitchen Pepper’ video.
Chef, you say Paprika, but we all know that’s just the first addition of cayenne … … followed by some fresh-ly ground blackened cayenne, the second addition of cayenne, cayenne sauce, and finishing up with a little bit of- blackened Cayennestershire sauce.

I’m pretty sure that ‘sugar’ you added at the end is cayenne powder that you ‘Walter Whited’ into Crystal Cayenne Persuasion.

Be well, stay kind and blessings to all ~

Some of us have been here long enough to remember the Good Ol’ Days of your ‘mad-photoshopping-skills’.
    Ahhh- Sweet memories.
Kinda brings a tear to your eye … … …
Nope. That’s the cayenne kicking in.

Be well, stay kind and blessings to all ~

Dude! Love your video. Thanks for taking it for the team man.

  • Daniel RojasVillafañe on September 24, 2020

Disappointed this does not include a yolk based emulsion flavoured as devil eggs. Looks tasty tho

  • Jw Stanley on September 29, 2020

When one considers devilled eggs, devilled ham, devilled… whatever, is not the devilishness not vinegar? Probably not, but pepper?

  • PandemoniumMeltDown on September 29, 2020

I know we're not making deviled eggs made into a sauce but bear with me here… What's really missing in my opinion is a hard boiled egg yoke pushed through a strainer before mixing or as a garnish… to give this amazing recipe that eggy richness edge… but it's just me 😛
A homemade mayo would also increase the eggy taste of it all and if made with enough lemon juice and a little zest, no need for vinegar or less lemon juice and a dash of infused herbal vinegar… yumm!
I just love cooking, you can rarely do something wrong.
Ok, you can definitely go wrong… :S

This recipe put me in charge of pasta salad for potlucks. Suck it, Aunt Gladys

  • George Betar on April 25, 2021

Great idea. I added some olives and chopped egg as well. Ecellent and original recipe.

What I like about the recipies I find on this channel:
    They actually fucking work.
…unlike many other frauds you can find on youtube…

  • tawpgk on June 8, 2021

What no anchovies…we need to sneak in anchovies/paste. It's not real deviled eggs without anchovies IMHO. So tasty and I'm not an anchovies fan normally.

CJ – if you add grilled chicken would it be Deviled Mother And Child Reunion Salad? 😁

  • Arpit Vadhera on June 11, 2021

The fork looks like King Triton trident.

I've never put wostishiresause (sp) in deviled eggs is it good? Anyone?

  • Tami Sandlin on June 12, 2021

Rock on with the Motley Crue reference. ❤️🤘 Thanks for sharing. Love your videos, and the yummy recipes. ❤️

  • Carol Butler on June 16, 2021

Hi, Chef John. That noodle salad looks great. When I make it I might boil a few eggs and thoroughly mash up just the yolks and put them in the dressing. I have a hard time following a recipe, but I know you understand.

  • Linda Hager on June 21, 2021

Am going to make that this afternoon. Mouth watering… thank you

  • Kilroy on June 21, 2021

Try replacing the vinegar with pickle juice. When the pickles are gone in my house, the jar with the juice remains!!

  • Gary DeWitt on June 23, 2021

    UFO, floating eggs!

  • Aaron Waggoner on June 25, 2021

Chef John… I loooooooove your energy, humor, and (because I follow you on twitter) politics. I think I'll make this extra devilishly.

  • Puddintayne on June 26, 2021

I would add cheese and fresh garden peas

  • Mesmer on June 28, 2021

    Needs bacon.

Throw in some julienned ham and I'll trade you my first born!

  • mactimo on July 2, 2021

looks incredibly delicious, I'm making this but will garnish with sliced hard boiled eggs sprinkled with paprika down the center

  • Gary Perrone on July 7, 2021

I like your recipes and your delivery is very entertaining. This deviled noodle salad is so good. I made it just as you describe. Totally enjoyable and different. Many thanks.

  • Alex Shadowfax on December 14, 2021

I might throw in a couple cooked egg yolks into the dressing and whisk it up well, it should add some eggy flavor without chunks of cooked egg in the salad 😀
