My mom made those potato cakes and they’re so good but I want to know what you did to get those carrots like that? They look really good.
question: i did cook as directed and, in fact, it became, pull-apart tender. But, even though the meaty taste there, it is so salty as to make it inedible except as an ingredient in a beef stew type of soup. Way too salty to eat as the meat course of a regular meal. If i should ever cook corned beef brisket again, should i soak the raw meat in fresh water over night? And, also, all that onion and apple mixture was too salty to be used as a gravy or sauce. I guess i will have to throw it away unless you have a suggestion on how to use it in a different way.
Best recipe channel with the best humour. Love your channel.
Seems like some yummy german soul food. Ahhh I want rouladen now. If I ever hit the lotto I’m gunna have this guy as my personal chef.
Just made this. I added a few diced apples to the mi because I had them. This is AMAZING!
Wow. That looked really really tasty.
Is brisket naturally salty as corn beef. I never buy beef brisket only corn beef .. I find corn beef is too salty so I boil it first for like 25 mines it pulls all that salt out. I pour the the off rinse the meat a little then season how I like and cook it however I like
Sometimes I get uncertain about using rosemary, this dish was a perfect pairing! Genius, John.
Fast, easy, excellent presentation! One of the best brisket recipes ! Thank you!!
Brisket is made for smoking!
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
2 Peter 3:9 NIV
ROMANS 10:9-11 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame”
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.””
Luke 19:10
God wants us to believe in His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, who died for our sins 😀 When we truly believe in our hearts that Jesus is the Son of God, who died for our sins so we could have eternal life with God, we are saved from the eternal fire and have eternal life in Christ Jesus!! 💖 May God bless y’all!!!
Like always when planning dinner I typed in Google name of the protein I have with "chief John" added and here I am 😁 works every time.
I really like this apple-onion gravy with pork roast… Yum
Made this tonight. While sautéing the onions, I added sliced apple as well. We served it over mashed potatoes and a side of grated zucchini pancakes. The gravy was so good i could have just drank it like the piglet I am. While preparing this, i also made the marinade for Jamaican chicken. Chef John your making us fat but we are having such wonderful food. What awesome recipes. Thank you!!!
Love the ease of the recipes but I find his videos are more palatable if I put them on CC as 'Chef John' can be insufferable.
It’s fast because it’s 3 lbs. The rule is 1 hour per pound
Your commentary is so annoying, I had to stop watching.
Hi Chef John, I’m writing from Vancouver Island British Columbia. Saw your brisket recipe some time ago and finally did it. Amazing!!! I’m a retired chef with a fancy resume. This was better than the best.
I’m definitely trying this one. Love your narration and cute jokes. 🥰😂
Hey Chef! Made this for New Years last year; turned out great! Can’t find a brisket for under $150 around here this year, so I’m going to try this with a tri tip! 🤞🤞🤞
How would you do this sous-vide
Anyone knows how long it takes to cook a 12 pounds brisket?
Ooooooh noooo I forgot to season and leave over night. Here’s hoping this still turns out ok 😟
