Anderson Silva is very good
No hate but Silva is a better finisher than Adesanya. May even be better overall in his prime. Understand the GOAT status some people give him.
I was only introduced to UFC when I was 11 and that was when Anderson Silva was in his peak. Literally the best striker in UFC history and just had so many moves in his bag. He never need to defend the takedown since he could submit people on his back. His punches were so accurate that most of the time he didn’t even need to rush to ground and pound. His kicks were so explosive and out of nowhere. I have to say the downfall of Anderson Silva was the saddest downfall of any athlete in their sport. He was so great that he didn’t even struggle in most of his fight that when he fought Chris Weidman his confidence was through the roof. He never had his hand up and was just evading punches off pure head movement which eventually Weidman connected since he left himself defenseless throughout the fight. Next fight he rematched Weidman and he broke his leg when he kicked. His next fight against Diaz he tested positive for steroids and forfeited the win. He took it too far after that. Continued fighting in the ufc in his mid 40s against guys he knew he couldn’t beat therefore accumulating so many loses. If he had came to the ufc years before he would’ve had 15+ title defenses. Greatest fighter to ever live
Silva has underrated grappling, reversing a takedown against Marquartd, taking chael down after getting hurt, and even Stephan Bonnar got taken down

What people don't understand is that when A.S. came to UFC he was already in his prime. The people he had beaten before were unbelievable. That's why he was considered the underdog in other divisions for a long time. Hayato Sakurai, Carlos Newton, Jeremy Horn and others were real life, scary killers!
Bro! Anderson is a fucking beast. Even in that last fight with Israel the man still had the respect of the last style Bender and Anderson is almost twice his age! the guy will go down in UFC history as one of the best that ever did it. Mad props to Anderson it's been such a privilege watching him fight over the years.
Not sure why he didn’t get called for the illegal knee against the undefeated, undisputed, lb for lb greatest of all time. The guy with the biggest arms and all the charm.
