It has a chewy, crispy texture around the outside. I added flaky sea salt while its warm after brushing it with garlic butter which makes it so much better, thank you so much for this recipe!

  • Sue Mallett on September 11, 2021

Seriously the best naan ever…so soft, chewy, and easy to make. I used all purpose flour and when rolling out, used olive oil instead of flour and just stretched with my hands, no rolling pin. Thank you for this recipe, truly delicious.

Chef husband & I enjoy you VERY much. Noticed quite a change in your narration…was serious/somber and in more recent videos you sound sooo much "lighter". Did you retire? 💖

Chef John.. I am being unfaithful to you. Allrecipes doesn't provide metric measurements any more. So I follow Adam Ragusea now. Sorry 🙁

    Waaaaaaaaaaaait a minute…
    Aren't YOU the chef John?!

  • Chris Biagi on October 19, 2021

I made it, all was fine until i cooked it, burned the hell out of it with the cast iron pan. I really dont think having cilantro on one side was a good idea either with super hot cast iron pan. Ended up baking in oven. Also garlic butter was very bitter, i assume that is because i needed to cook the garlic longer?

  • Katia M. Pimentel on October 24, 2021

There is no such thing as "too much garlic butter", hehehe ❤️

  • Dan - on December 15, 2021

I had to mute the video and just watch. The way this guy talks really irks me. Everything is an upwards inflection and every sentence ends with sounding surprised. Great video, just cannot stand listening with sound on.

  • Exterminatrix on December 22, 2021

I made this last night along with sumac topped homemade hummus, saag paneer, and lamb rogan josh curry. It was amazing and looked just like this.

Ill never again buy naan. On that note the first thing I said in my head this morning was "you are the chef jon of your garlic naan" 👀 i guess its not just the bread thats addicting.
