I mean it makes sense. If you can cook the best tasting western food in Asian, you're going go get lots of customers.. So from a business point it makes sense.. But you would think he would learn all of his home cooking

lol. actually West Malaysia (peninsula malaysia) and East Malaysia have different traditional foods due to different native ethnics. only a few foods are common or same which are nasi lemak, curry, rendang, satay, masak merah, masak hitam, panggang and Chinese dishes. as for laksa, almost every Malaysia state has own laksa variety.

As a Malaysian, I can confirm this

No matter how well a chef can cook, auntie cooking is always better

Gordon sometimes looks like a stressed Coach Steve Kerr with a 5-45 win loss standing.

But Its fun to watch him go outside and learning new food from other countries.

As a Malaysian, I love when the guy pointed out that every Malaysian's favorite chef is their mother. I've never met a Malaysian lady older than 20s who doesn't know how to cook. Lazy, yes. But definitely can cook when they feel like it. Malaysian aunties are basically chefs with decades of training.
