Fish sauce is already mega salty but a very different taste to soya sauce though I'm sure you can just use soya sauce. Fish sauce is inexpensive and one of the trilogy for a Thai taste.

We Persian have the best saffron in the whole world and is the most expensive too . We ground a pinch of saffron with dash of sugar and add spoon or two of hot water to get more colors out of it ! We never ever use saffron whole and we being doing this from the start of wold 🤷🏼♀️
