Vegetarians don't use eggs.
Good to see. I believe in a balance diet, you don't need meat all the time. Vegetables are what make good meals anyway. Where would you be without carrots onions, garlic etc. Now I am hungry.

For a variation add broccolini and powdered garlic and powdered onion to the cakes cover in semolina and maybe and swap out red chilli and ginger garnish with pickled Jalapeños in a soft cheese sauce

Variation on tomatoes; dehydrate cherry tomatoes and grind them, use them as seasoning with a small dash of cold pressed olive oil and a garnish of red onion
Vegan is a compromise.
I put the tomatoes in for the allocated 90mins Gordon and they came out looking like a Jews foreskin.

When you add egg its not vegetarian
If you own a steam oven, then hot air humid at 230 degrees, for 14 minutes for the Halumi cakes. They are something completely different then, far better than a pan. Not even close
Truth be told this is the only complex dish I have ever been able to make. This was the first recipe I put in my cooking book!
Why don't you ever make protein for vegetarians? We can't live off vegetables and bread alone this is an appetizer not a meal

How come eggs come under veg category? We do not grow them in plants. I am a strict vegan all my life and will remain vegan; No milk, no eggs, no wine, no beer, no liquor, etc. Also, I never cook tomatoes. You add too much oil. And please never ever use sugar in vegan food…
And this is exactly what pisses me off about vegetarian food….they always use foods that you can’t buy in my f*** country.
