Summary of this tutorial:

For creating this contact form popup we will want to use two plugins. WPForms:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpforms-lite/

and OptinMonster:

http://optinmonster.com

Start by creating a contact form using the WPForms plugin. Go under WPForms, Add New and there will be a popup for creating your form.

Add a name you would like for your form and select Simple Contact Form. You will then be able to edit the form how you would like with simple drag and drop.

With the form created, we will now need to add the popup functionality to your site. Go to the OptinMonster site and begin creating your optin.

Whiteboard is a good empty theme to start out with for your contact form. You can add custom HTML to the optin and our sample html and CSS can be found in the written version of our tutorial.

http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-a-contact-form-popup-in-wordpress/

Once your optin is set up, go to your WordPress admin area and refresh your optins under your OptinMonster area. Enable your optin and allow it to be loaded globally.

Our written article has recommended html for adding your popup contact form to a page or widget. Once you have added it and saved your changes, you will now have a contact form popup on your WordPress site.

why would I use this complicated tutorial if optinmonster isn't free? I rather buy a single plugin which does the work, I'm pretty sure it might have one like this out there. 😛

So i start following this tutorial and on minute 1:48 after installing 2 plugins…. you say this is a pay plugin?. How about on the beginning…

  • Gokay Calik on November 7, 2018

Oh HEY let me skip the part where YOU HAVE TO PAY to have the optinmonster and make it look all easy to use.

Upstarts welcome free stuff. That should be clear from the beginning. This is a complex process. Some of the initial coding detail goes kind of fast- Grab code from where? I will try it step by slow step. I may have to hire a developer. 🙁 🙁
