Summary of this Tutorial:
Install and activate the Clean Image Filenames plugin.
Go to Media, Add New to start using it.
The plugin should remove any special characters and give you a nice file name for your image.
You can use the special characters for the title but the file name will be SEO friendly.
This plugin works for new images but will not clean up previous image file names.
