How To Switch or Convert Custom Post Types in WordPress ctm magazine

WordPress comes with five default post types and the ability to create custom post types. This gives great control over your content but sometimes you may want to go back and change the post type of something you previously wrote. In this video, we will show you how to switch or convert custom post types in WordPress.

Start by installing and activating the post type switcher plugin.

Go to the all posts or all pages area for what you want to change.

check the ones you want to change and choose edit from the bulk action dropdown and set them to the type you want.

And click update

You can do the sme with custom post types.

    @WPBeginner, I am trying to switch a page in https://possessingourpossessions.wordpress.com/blog/we-ran-because-he-first-ran-terry-fox-run-2017-singapore to a post.

    Your video @26sec, how do I actually install and activate the pluging?

    Mine is a wordpress.com site and not wordpress.org. Can I still install and acvtivate plugin in wp.com?

    At 0:26 there is the Post Type Switcher to install, but I can't find it. Is it because I have a basic subscription?

    not working for me each page i convert shows as blank page in posts area

    After I switch a post to a page, the comment form appears at the page bottom. It stays even after I adjust Settings to disallow comments.
