We are wiping out all wildlife for good, how can we call ourselves mankind when we are the opposite?

  • MARK Donald on November 2, 2021

Even if you live hundreds of miles from the coast, the plastic you throw away could make its way into the sea. Once in the ocean, plastic decomposes very slowly, breaking down in to tiny pieces known as micro plastics that can be incredibly damaging to sea life.

When I was a kid in the 70's there were hardly any plastic bottles, all glass bottles and recyclable metal caps, bottles you got money for if you took them back.
Reinforced brown paper shopping bags were the norm, not plastic bags….all this started in the later era.
Keep britain tidy labels on most items, not the littered cesspit we live in now. It's the young generation who needs educating.

Eg , Banning plastic tea cups is also one of the plastic reduction way out of many plastic nuisances. Use edible wafer cups for drinking tea , coffee like ice cream wafer cone. Lots of plastic & paper cups & plastic paper cups harmfulness may be decreased.

Recycling…….Moving plastic pollution from one place to
another…Turning one pollution into another that will still be here
100'ds of years.. The only way to stop plastic pollution is to stop
making plastic.. What you are doing may make you feel all warm and fuzzy
but solves nothing other than moving plastic from one place to
another……A waste of time and money unless all countries in the world
participate. Same goes for stopping global warming………..We can live without plastic…

  • Chrissi Hixenbaugh on November 29, 2021

You know what I can’t believe, is people who watch this video are the ones who care. The only people who don’t care are the ones who don’t think. They aren’t worried about the Earth because when there life ends they think that nothing’s wrong and nothing can ever happen to them.

  • Leah Tugwell on November 30, 2021

If companies didn't make them, we wouldn't use them. I lived in a country where they were banned and replaced with cellulose, a biodegradable plastic alternative made from plants instead of the oil we subsidize.

Anyone who wants to make a difference, get out there to beaches and collect plastic.

Here's a tip: every beach has an area where the most plastic washes up, find it and go to where seaweed is. Where there's a lot of seaweed

  • Jay miller on December 15, 2021

  • Technical_ProGuy on December 15, 2021

Plastics aren’t bad though, but people just use them too much, they never think of reusing stuff.
Before we went to a beach cleanup and only 3 out of 10 people showed up. It was really sad to see that most don’t care about the environment

  • Carla C on January 11, 2022

there is no way we can solve the marine plastic crises in this time period, the only way to solve this crises, is to travel back in time, and we need to start building time machines Now!

If human being can’t sacrifice profit and convenance, mankind cannot solve pollution problem. However, there is a good new. Earth can rejuvenate itself within a million year after Human being vanish from the surface of the earth. Therefore, if you are very concern about earth pollution, you should expedite the pollution process and the soonest human being vanish from the surface of the earth the sooner the earth can rejuvenate itself.

To sacrifice profit and convenance means bring your own office cup to McDonald. Don’t drink plastic bottled water. Every developed country should build their own recycling plant and not exporting waste to 3rd world countries. Everybody uses only public transportation.

If human being can’t survive on earth in a clean environment, human being will be vanished from the surface of the earth, and earth will rejuvenate itself, earth win, human being lose.

I personally don’t worry about earth pollution, the only problem is about human being, not earth.

blows my mind, we pay to have our garbage taken away, the government runs all of the programs, they then proceed to dump it into the ocean, then make people feel bad the ocean is polluted with plastic, and then turn around and make us pay for cleaning that as well. WOW!!!!!!

  • Top Board on March 17, 2022

  • Kilian Öhman on April 2, 2022

I know that writing this comment won't change a thing for our enviroment or the seas, but i still hope that comments like mine can encourage someone to make a small change in their everyday life to make a small diffrence. One person can't make a lot of change, but together we can save the planet we where born on. We can't wait any longer for policians to come up with an idea, but it's still not to late to do somthing.

Sadly, this video has fewer views than the Will Smith slap. A reflection of our priorities? It won't affect me but I don't have any children. The most environmentally-friendly action during your lifetime is not having children.
