In 2005/2006 I delivered groceries in NYC for whole foods and huey was one of my regulars. Super friendly. Great tipper.

1984- great year for music ❤️❤️❤️❤️…
And Jordan trying to explain FMK to Huey Lewis is peak comedy 😂😂😂😂

  • @lindalopresti389 on March 30, 2024

Always loved Huey! Wishing you the absolute best of luck with your show. I’ll be there, with Pete & Kristy!!

  • @HopeWins777 on March 30, 2024

Huey Lewis voice and mannerisms completely remind me of Al Franken! When he was talking about making the videos in the 80s and deciding to do it themselves. Freaking me out

Big, big Fan! Two concerts in munich, Germany. I love him.

  • @felicitousfeline9956 on March 31, 2024

Great interview—Jordan Klepper got much more mileage out of this interview than Jimmy Kimmel did with his Huey interview. (I know this was longer.). 1984, what a year for pop/rock! I didn’t know those five classic albums were only ones on top of chart that year! Huey album is the only one I own, though! ❤. What a humble, gracious, creative, down-to-earth guy Huey Lewis is!

  • @richardsimon4135 on March 31, 2024

I grew up listening to Huey Lewis. Jordan really killed this interview. Apparently he introduced Huey to FMK. I feel like that's going to earn Jordan a footnote in music history.

  • @teeventi2664 on March 31, 2024

Great interview always been a fan of Huey 🎉

Huey Lewis and The News – the irony. / How apropos.

  • @chaosdream21 on March 31, 2024

Jordan interviewing Huey Lewis was giving the same energy as Chris Farley interviewing Paul McCartney on SNL https://youtu.be/NHPQFPdj8ko?si=9iohJlT4vV5p_9z_

is huey lewis wearing a clown mask?

  • @EndPoliticalCorruption on April 2, 2024

Huey Lewis and the News was my first concert, and probably the best I've seen with fan engagement. They did like three encores.

“We are the world, we are the children, we are the ones who make a brighter day…” well, minus conservatives.

  • @phillipcorrell5874 on April 2, 2024

What a fantastically nostalgic interview with Huey. Short tale…the year was 1984 early spring through late fall offshore onboard a North Sea pipelay-barge living in dormitory style twice X double bunk 12-hr shifts 24-7…every morning was Monday. The first person to wake up is the alarm-clock and punches in the cassette SPORTS. Those were the days, my friend….

ACROSS THE UNIVERSE was another great musical which was developed from The Beatles songs in a similar fashion

  • @hellagood67 on April 9, 2024

Ahhh, the 80’s. My teenage years spent listening to HL&TN and so many more fantastic bands. When bands played their instruments for us to see and sang proper songs. Yeah, getting old but wouldn’t change a thing.

DS guests are often fascinating people.. but I particularly love seeing a guest with hearing loss interviewed and integrated seamlessly just like anyone else, so it didn’t become the focus point or an otherwise limiting thing.

Please keep having folks who happen to have disabilities on to talk about their expertise— and not doing it in a way that overly focuses on the disability itself.

Huey is an absolute legend. Great to see his career continue to grow & progress even after hearing loss changed his options. Look forward to catching his musical when it comes to town.
