You're missing a major component. Liberals and main stream media have, without shame, dragged our children of all ethnic backgrounds in to sexual, racial and abortion issues accompanied with a dismal forecast of having a prosperous future. Add locking down our schools for as long as they did during the pandemic and isolating our youth set up a recipe for mental illness and this type of tragedy. Liberals and MSM have committed a form of mass child abuse that is truly criminal.
Democrats obviously love these types of incidents, so they can turn the narrative to Gun control, as if that works. GUNS in the hands of non mentally ill individuals can prevent or STOP these incidents.
If eliminating guns works, remove the guns from their security details FIRST. Make congress a gun free zone, just like the schools.

Kids should learn how to shoot and protect themselves. No need for reinforcement. The makers should come up with guns suitable to children, like, a baby 45 magnum or kid assault rifles! There should be classes where those weapons would be allowed, and five year olds would practise on each other.
USA Population: 350 million, Europe's population: 764 million. Nowhere in Europe or the rest of the developed world combined has even a fraction of the mass shootings in the USA, not as a whole, not any country per capita, per 100K people, no matter what you use to measure, and some of these countries ranks higher than the US in freedom indexes as more free than the USA. Americans put the gun on a pedestal, that's the problem, so many constitutional articles have been amended everywhere in the world to keep up with the current times, but as long as you worship the gun, you will not change. In most countries, including mine, Ireland, you CAN buy firearms, simple and easy with background checks and no-nonsense regulation, yet most of us still willingly choose not to own guns, because we don't put the gun on a pedestal.
Would gladly volunteer to guard & protect children unfortunate enough to be enrolled in public schools. Our rulers won't do jack to protect American children. Heartbroken…
What about the school shootings before many people even knew of Ukraine? The fact that our childrens safety hasn't been #1 priority is a reflection of our country. Children are not safe in schools or church, and that didn't start yesterday. Politicians care more about getting reelected than doing the right thing and I blame the voters. IF THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATE PUT CHILDREN SAFETY FIRST, then those reality star politicians would get something done. Simple solution: Ban all firearms and anyone caught with a firearm be immediately sent to prison indefinitely. Then there will be zero shootings. Use the military to enforce this law (no defunded police needed).
