James Webb Telescope New Discovery In Space Shocks The Entire Industry! webfi network

The James Webb Space Telescope has ushered in a new era in extragalactic astronomy. The infrared observatory has already uncovered numerous candidate galaxies that call the big bang theory and our models of galactic development into question. And now, the Webb Space Telescope has caught a sight of the universe’s most distant star, which was announced only a few months ago by scientists using Webb’s predecessor, the Hubble Space Telescope.
The star, called Earendel after a character in J.R.R. Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings” prequel “The Silmarillion,” was spotted in a Hubble Space Telescope deep field image thanks to gravitational lensing. The star, whose light took 12.9 billion years to reach Earth, is so faint that spotting it in the new James Webb Space Telescope image, shared on Twitter on Aug. 2 by a group of astronomers using the account Cosmic Spring JWST, may be challenging.

I find it amazing. I just wonder if we may find objects closer to the beginning of the universe or other things that may alter or confirm our understanding of space. I'm lucky to live through our greatest time of space exploration, from the moon landings to now

It is with such arrogance to believe that the thing we call the Universe was started by two elements that came from no where and they some how found each other in a vast emptiness. They Collided, formed what? 2 gasses cannot form a solid.

  • Do you think that JWST could track the two Voyager that just escaped the Helios sphere since JWST could magnified those stars billions of light year away from earth…????

  • Peter Brown on September 11, 2022

A "big bang" is only a theory. Every amount of data from the JW Tel. should not be based on this theory. Because, reality suggests that something had to come before, and an end to the 'known' universe cannot be predicted.

Why they keep going to study tge farthest star 😂, why can we focus first the star beneath us so we can study first to see what inside 😂lol

Honestly, I think as time continues on, and with the telescopes and probes (etc) we have out now, and planned for the near future, we are going to have to re-write a lot of what we "think" we know (on a scientific/educational level) vs what actually is, and I think the cosmos are going to show us that there are no absolutes when it comes to the physics of the universe, and how unlimited the universe truly is.

I think that the new telescope might be causing problems with modern theories of galactic development because no one knows what Dark Matter, 80% of all matter, is. The Big Bang Theory itself is not being challenged.

I’ve always believed the Universe has always been. We don’t need beginnings and endings for the Universe. It’s not an animal that needs a birth and an eventual death. It could just have always been.

I dont get this. So stars from the beginning of the universe, when the universe was very tiny, can be still seen. I mean, if light travelled at half its speed, how would you calculate the age of the universe. What does light have to do with the age of the universe. I guess its something to do with time traveling at the speed of light idea. How does time travel at the speed of light. If galaxies can move faster than light, then why not say time travels at the speed of them. I dont understand anything
