So, Kentucky native here, definitely late to the party. We would eat the vegetables, otherwise our mothers would whip the fire out of us for wasting food. Also, we probably wouldn't use something so hipster as PBR either, probably Bud or Miller if we're going basic mainstream. (I'd use a Blue Moon personally).
In my part of Ohio we use Swiss cheese. Of course, in my part of Ohio we use Swiss cheese for everything. Try it sometime with even just half smoked Swiss and I think you will be glad you crossed the state line.
Can I substitute piss for beer? Considering the color, flatness, and brand, I think you could get a similar effect?

so i happened to watch this and then your video on pizza dough pretzels (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uo6cmWueq9c) within a one week period of time and decided to combine them. it's a good combo. i recommend it! i did replace the dry mustard with about x4 as much "whole grain" mustard. it was the perfect pretzel combo. thanks, chef john!!

I live in Kentucky, so to get beer cheese like this, I can just go to any grocery store. But this recipe's plenty authentic!
