'The longer you do something the more complicated it gets' is the phrase you're looking for.
    Keep up the good work.

  • FooBar Maximus on December 13, 2021

I was taught to cook by family who were NOT into perfection. God love you for saying that. I love the way you get dirty and don't measure everything on a scale, etc. My mom was a personal friend of Justin Wilson, back in the 1960s. Whatever that's worth. We appreciate your work here in Houston in my house. Thanks!

Jeez. You are the same age as me, and you look so so much younger. God bless you! May you live forever. Thank you for what you do sir.

Google searched "What does Chef John look like" … Here I am!
I just found you today and watched you make 3 of 5 potato recipes (have to go back and finish the video to see the last 2) and feta roast chicken. I'm hooked!
Love your style, delivery and I'm sure I'm going to love your recipes when I try them.
Thank you for being here ❤️

to the person who wanted a lobster roll recipe,…I am from Maine…and I will give you the recipe…3 ingredients……split top frankfurter roll,…lobster meat….and mayonnaise….that is it…anything else is not a Maine Lobster roll…:)

I'm a little late to the show, but I enjoyed this. It's nice to have a face to go with the voice and hands! I love your clever rhymes, like, (just making something up here) You're the Maya Angelou of your beef stew. Do those come off the top of your head or do you script them in? Either way, I love it! I really like your ideas of not being too precise and making a recipe your own. I tend to use a recipe the first time I make something, but then I always change things up and try to make it better or at least more to my liking. I am enjoying your channel though! Thank you!

I wonder if you'd like to make Latvian piragi? They are bacon, ham, and onion buns seasoned with black pepper.
