But you people don't b** about what's going on in schools critical race theory and tearing down statues changing our history before our eyes no matter if it's good or bad.. cancel culture it was started from the left remember that . So don't cry when it happens to one of your pals.

knowledge is power that is why these people out to change what should be taught in school to keep them stupid!

There's always Amazon, Barnes and Noble, the Public Library, etc. They can't stop the world from moving forward no matter how hard they try. The truth should never be kept from our children. p.s. I've learned that the more you tell someone, especially a child, they can't do something, the more they will find a way to do it. So, good luck keeping this book away from your bubble.

Don’t know anything about that book or the authors. Banning of any books is a red flag. But….. it’s very annoying to see this man being interviewed by CNN and he’s eating, smoking and drinking.

These Reich-wing Republicans sure hate the teaching of history. Any excuse do disappear information that challenges their white supremacism narrative.

Censorship is nothing new within public school systems. My generation spoke out on this in the 90's and our parents generation ignored us.

  • Kathy Jones on January 27, 2022

We should all go buy this book 📖. I've never heard of it before now. So that being said I believe he will have soaring book sale soon.

  • melonbarmonster on January 27, 2022

If a book glorifies nazis history it should be banned

  • JJ on January 27, 2022

Its good to see Sensei Spiegelman. I'm divided on the issue. The timing is a bit too perfect all around. I don't think children of a certain age should experience Maus in the same way I don't think they should experience the photographs of the pits. There's never an age where those things can be understood but there is an age where the gravity can be missed and where the subconscious can be damaged inadvertently.

I'm sure "Free Speech Warriors" barri weiss & ben shapiro will be speaking out against this banning with the same veracity that they defend racists saying ignorant things. Or go after this school board for banning a book about the Holocaust with the same relentlessness they attacked school boards for trying to keep people safe from Covid.

  • Appel Blossom on January 27, 2022

Stuff this is what a school board member called victims and survivors of the Holocaust stuff wow what an ignorant disgusting opinion! I graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 1992 and it breaks my heart to see things like this! Im a social studies teacher in the 50th state currently teaching US History . I show clips of “Schindler‘s List”to 11th graders so they can develop empathy and realize this actually did happen. The majority of my students do not know The Holocaust occurred! GOP state legislatures throughout this country want to revise history when it in regards to what happened during the Nazi occupation of Europe! They also want to revise United States history based on racial issues. The bottom line the United States is racist had a racist history there’s racism anti-Semitism all over the world! The only way to stop it is to educate and never forget. Not only did the Nazis murder 6000,000 Jews they also murdered non-Aryan such as Jehovah witnesses , Homosexuals, gypsies, the mentally handicapped, and communist… This was an evil time and again should never be forgotten! One states start banning books wearing a whole lot of trouble wake up!

  • Deckard Cain on January 27, 2022

I can't speak for the rest of Tennessee but the private school that I attended in west TN had Maus and its sequel in the school library. I remember reading both books over and over again at 9, and some of the images are truly haunting, but they should be because they're based on reality. Graphic novels can be just as powerful and informative as any other work of literature.

The so-called anti-cancel culture party cancelling books? I'd be lying if I didn't see that coming with their fake outrage over the fake "cancel culture" to cover up their own intentions pretty much like the election fraud lies. It's always protection with the far-right.

  • JuICyBLiinGeR on January 27, 2022

Who’s ready for a repeat in history?

  • J.g Orenne on January 27, 2022

I am going to purchase the book right away and promote it to other people. Banning is bad business for the ones who are trying to silence voices.
