I disagree with scientist about Paul's vision in his way to Damascus. Acts 9:7 shows us that there were witnesses who heard the voice but didn't see one who was speaking. And also after the vision, Paul(Saul) was without sight for 3 days. How does your science explain this. Is it also the cause of epilepsy ???
I think your wrong. As a scientist I expect you to be sure about about before you speak. Go read about Acts 9 then ask God to help you understand before you use that as one of your facts about your study.

Seems like Morgan Freeman has faith in God. I like that, a lot. I think the believers pursuit of understanding and the scientists pursuit of knowledge are are two paths converging on the same road. Whether they are opposed to or supporting each other eventually they will end up in the same place and realize they had the same goal and were just going about it in different ways. Many believers are also in the sciences and contrary to popular opinion the two can co-exist just fine.
Why would he be literally seeing evidence of scarring on the brain and draw from that that it's god? It's the scarring? There's the evidence…?

It is bizarre that even with amazing intellect but yet can miss and not connect very obvious facts. The guy was/is agnostic. . . So it's safe to assume he has not studied any religious texts. Yet without knowing it the "vision" he saw is very specifically exactly a scripture in the New Testament. He saw all things has consciousness even inanimate stuff and all things are held together by Divine love. To be clear it is not something someone that as a child or young adult attended church or religious studies would know about not many Christians pay attention to it so it's not even like his mind could suddenly conjure it up from an old memory.
1 Colossians 16 – 17: "(16) For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [by His service, intervention] and in and for Him.
(17) And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together)." ——-> He is the cohesive force. . . . Lionel Richie had it right Jesus =LOVE. He is Divine love. He is the AGAPE/Divine love. Yes so my point is the guy had a vision not a seizure or a weird "scarred brain" experience. What he saw was written over 1500years ago. All things are held together by Divine love = Jesus.

It's funny to hear the statement that it could be a bliss revelation. All cases of visions after death, for example, are absolutely carved and can apply to both Christianity and Buddhism, for example. Some see just space. This is just a delusion of our mind and it is more interesting from a physiological and, possibly, psychological point of view. Do not rely on hallucinations. Now 21st century.

we know that loss of oxygen to the brain can cause hallucinations such as near death or after death experiences Medical experts have determined this there are other things that can cause this as well. But the Bible says clearly if they speak not according to this word it is because there is no light in them. Visions and dreams from God can truly be manifested through or in someone but if they contradict the word of God ( the Bible ) 100% they are false, dreams and visions that correspond with the Bible and it's message are to be taken as truth. This is the standard by which Christians should apply to anyone that says they have had a vision or dream from God. Also I'd like to say your so called experts on the Anti-Christ and Roman History severely needs more education and a lot of Theology Education to even know the truth about the Anti-Christ and the end of the world. It's called the pineal gland and it could have been the reason for his experience.
The center point of the frontal lobe could have definitely been swollen enough to push out just enough melatonin from the pineal gland, which has also been known as the third eye and is known to connect us with the spiritual world outside of our bodies. Even if these things are caused by epilepsy, that doesn't rule out God, because that could be how Hod communicates, it could also be that a 'damaged' brain has to redirect to over neurons which sees a different reality, like a car journey that have to divert off the motorway & takes a country lane instead. I'm agnostic, but I absolutely believe theres so much more to the complexities of the Universe & think both the spiritual & science is inportant. They are the Ying & Yang to each other, the spiritual provides the love & purpose that the science needs to have energy to seek, & the science propels our journey forward.
