Typical ignorant, wannabe recipe name. Mongolians eat approximately as much pork as devout Hindus eat beef.

Chef gave a shout out to Napa Valley! I used to work in Yountville, and I lived in Napa, in 70's. Now I could not even afford to eat in this restaurant he named. Back in the day, all wine tasting was FREE, as much as you wanted, all day, at places like Christian Brothers and Beringer Brothers wineries. Needless to say, that's where I first gained an "appreciation" for fine wines!! 😀 LOL This looks good too!! Who knew Mongolians ate pork chops; I thought they just ate yaks!!! LOL.

Those grill marks look good. Too bad charred grill marks on protein is a cancer-causing carcinogen.

  • Anton Boludo on April 17, 2020

Play it at half-speed. He sounds completely shit-faced 😛

Mongolians don’t eat pork really. It’s not traditional but trade with China probably catching on. But I doubt they have own recipe

  • RobBerks on July 25, 2020

Chef John, this is one of your best narrated videos and I speak as a fan of your awesome style. Thank you

You know how some people think Cilantro taste like soap? I LOVE it. White Pepper: To me it reminds me in both smell and taste of kerosene. Don't like it one bit.

  • Kerry Berger on May 30, 2021

You're the boss of your over-cooked meat. Hilarious.

  • Maggie H on June 29, 2021

When I smell white pepper it reminds of kerosene. Not a fan.

  • Lawrence Taylor on December 11, 2021

I really think they got a bad rap when they let their hordes ride around for a couple centuries. But I've got a Mongol friend and he's really nice. And he always has pork chops to share. He keeps the mustard sauce in a saddle bag, real convenient. I wouldn't recommend it for a Napa Valley cookout, unless you're into horseplay.

  • Al Dente on December 23, 2021

Those Mongolians sure know how to eat.
