Part of me wishes I had gone to the school I was accepted to at Monterey Bay. Such a beautiful place I underestimated. I went to school further north, but I keep wondering how life would’ve been at this beautiful place? 🙂

Monterey is one of the premier pelagic birding locations in the world because the continental shelf drops off while you’re still in sight of shore so you get both deep ocean birds and the more standard sea birds without having to go way way out.
