Winter is loosening its grip on the mountains of North America. But that doesn’t mean life here is getting any easier. As the thaw begins and rivers start to swell with raging runoff, new opportunities open up for the mountain men to stockpile supplies, grow their own food and fortify their homesteads. But this spring… They’re digging deep like never before. The mountain men and their families are masters of independence and living off the land. But even they are preparing for a changing world- one where the ultimate test may be who can brace for the worst in America’s wilderness.

It's somebody's poor little house cat. My cats bigger than that thing.
I believe I'd be getting me a better horse.
That Tom is good Ol boy, would’ve liked to have known him.
Love to be there can't stand trespassers don't mind dropping the hammer
I live in Pennsylvania . I ride my bike regularly on the schuylkill river trail. I like to go very early in the morning for several reasons. Less people, less heat , and less bugs. It was late March 2020. I was out on the trail before the sun came up. I go alone a lot. I was about 5 miles out and a very large black cat crossed the trail ion front of me. The cat was as large as me and I am 6 feet tall and 200lbs. It had a very large square face. When I saw the cat I got very excited. To this day I do not remember being afraid, I was more excited and remember thinking that I will never see anything like this ever again. The cat was very low to the ground and massive. It was approximately 7 feet in length. The tail was thick and as long as the body itself. The cat glanced over at me just as a cat would and just continued on its way. I stopped pedaling when I saw it but did not hit the brakes. It took about 2-3 seconds to reach where the animal had crossed the trail and when I arrived at thee location I could not see it, smell it, or hear it. I glanced up in the trees and the surrounding area but there was no sign of it. I was very close to a RR that is right off of the trail right there about 25 feet away. It was in Douglassville, Pa.
I always have a knife on me and my pepper spray just for any kind of threat that I may encounter
Enjoyed the experience
There is no such thing as a vicious mountain lion.

…You're welcome…
I'd be happy with reruns from the late 90s ,least it was about history.
I hate driving through the mountains when I go to the west coast. These guys live there. Much respect
It's a shame that these shows as this one. Is that they have to always stage everything so that they can have a audience. I guess if u can't tell the difference. Then your under the mind control of these producers.
This is OLD, you've posted it before. Took it down for awhile, but why?
Try posting some different ones? Like later than these?
I watched every episode of this on Netflix already
I’m an Arkansan and man that is neat! Keep on!
I love this show!
I live in Nebraska and we have numerous occasions of a mountain lion walking through an Omaha school yard. As far as I know as of this date no one has ever been hurt or attacked by one.
This show is a classic!
thank you for the video!!!!! God bless you!!!!!
Only one prime lion hunting area . And everything else. Toughest ranch in the US… ORO… 1974 Larry Hrndricks the premiere lion hunter of all time called me for a sit down. Mrs Reynolds threw a pan of hot water out back of Col. Greens mansion… it hit a lion in the face .. they both went screaming opposite directions.. as we sat at ambassadorial plates and queen Anne clawfoot chippendale he grabbed a Winchester said lion on the roof… hold it that's my dog hes the #1 AKC CD german shepherd in the US… he found the log pile and was doing a perimeter search. As we poked gun barrels over the porch roof Marcus was slobbering in my face… Larry said … yer hired. Kissinger and Chase flew in after the China accords… I got this job blowing the eye out of a quail at 80 yards with the rangemaster of the sheriffs dept snubnose 38…. he had missed both barrels on a quail… I was the senate finance chairs nephew my first 33… what an adventure arizona is… i surveyed yavapai county west and worked forest service next door to the ORO.. Nothing equals the lion hunt.. we have a mountain lion preserve southeast of the ranch Bill Murphy shot 32 in one month… hes just a cat skinner …D6 cat pushing junipers for grass growth … and Pat Murphy …our bunkhouse cook will put a plate in your head if you dont rinse it and be polite… pick eggs and milk for a week…. now dave murphy is 7 feet in his boots 25 auto in pocket 357 on hip every second out doors.. blow yer finger off before you draw… try me…
Narrator's voice for this series = GOLD. Much love
how is Jake compensated by the ranchers for his service ??
Well, it would have been interesting to see the hounds after a mountain lion. My hound doesn't get to go after such large prey. This seems to be collection of various things thrown together with an eye-catching title hoping you watch it all for advertising pay-outs from YT to do it again. BLAH!
Instant dislike. What an awful video
