I know it sounds crazy but i feel like the shape of the pasta determines the taste of the end product and not just the texture
Courtney is intrigued.

Excellent stuff. Thank you.
I make this recipe pretty much every single month, and have been doing so ever since I first saw this video in 2014.
This is our favorite recipe EVER that chef John has posted, it is the tastiest, cheapest, and easiest thing you could possibly make. Thanks Chef!!

I'm in SF too. Where do you get those Sausages?
I love this dish. So so easy and delicious
Try that with fresh picked peas in place of arugula. Just the perfect pasta shape for it.
You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't add some sliced mushrooms to this when making the fond.
Wanna take this to the next level add a tablespoon of Gochujang
Used whatever sausage I had on hand: half longanisa and half hot link. SO GOOD!
Yum
This recipe was a huge hit at home! Thank you.
My favourite kitchen trick regarding pasta is to go buy yourself a cheap kitchen scale. If you use different shapes depending on the sauce, you will get more accurate results by weighing your pasta instead of trying to measure with a cup. I am 66, single, and trying to watch my weight. An ounce and a half is good for me if there is meat and plenty of veg. A little more if it's just pasta and cheese
You're a beast. Just been looking this up the past few days and tried finding alternatives to broccoli rabe. Thanks again for all that you do to help boost my SMV.
Where's the red chili pepper 🌶️ flakes?
Thanks for a great video. Reminds me of a one pot spaghetti dinner my mamma used to make when we were very young.
it's so interesting to seeing you use a Chinese knife to chop the arugula
I was in the coast guard and sure wish our cooks followed chief John’s recipes.
Just made this. Very very good. Will make again. It also gives me a another recipe to help me use my excess of home made frozen chicken stock. Just FYI this recipe could EASILY be doubled. I made this for my partner and we both could have had twice as much. But we also love to eat…
I think I need to make a list of "chef John recipes to try for dinner."
Thank you! I’ll do this with ground chicken.
Buona Cucina Povera!
I'm doing this today
Very good 😍😍😍😍👍
what broth?
♥️♥️👍😃😃👏😘💛💛💚💚😍😍
This looks amazing. I'll have to make a trip to our Italian store for sausages.
This is the best version of this recipe on Youtube, hands down. I want to try it with broccoli rabe. Thanks Chef John.
I made this for my husband. Good flavor but I wasn't careful enough with the salt despite using low sodium broth. He had one small bowl which made him a bit wired and caused some water retention 😂 oh well, you live and learn!
Unsheathe that sausage meat – lol
Made this last night, to anyone reading, MAKE THIS!!
Thank you chef that pasta look great , I going to make one like that arugula and brocoli rabe to
