  • Beach Goth Gay on February 18, 2017

"you are the soul of the chicken soup" maybe? Is that too obscure of a pull?

  • Ross M on February 18, 2017

A small pinch of turmeric to improve the colour, perhaps?

  • Joanne Alton on February 18, 2017

Still too much work when you're sick. You have to action chop everything up yourself. I guess you could get someone else to do it. Anyway, looks good 😊

  • JECZ on February 18, 2017

    The soup looked just fine.

  • DeDraconis on February 18, 2017

    Get well soon!

Also.. uhm.. is it the sauteing in butter that makes the difference, or the butter itself? What if you just plopped in a tablespoon of butter in there with everything else at the beginning?

"You're after all the Kevin Kline of 'I was too sick to think of a rhyme' " 😂😂😂😂

This is badly missing grated cheese at the end 🙁

And burned onion for coloring the "bouillon" (sorry I dunno how to translate it properly)

  • Diggerless on February 18, 2017

What was the broth used in this? Couldn't decipher the name.

last time when I didn't have time/energy to make a soup, I just threw my celeriac(root, not sticks), carrot, leek and onion into a food processor and pulsed it a bit until I had kind of pea-sized pieces, then threw that into a pot with a bay leaf, water and some black pepper and salt, and boiled that for an hour or so, that's all.
Of course you can add pasta/chicken to your liking.

  • mixiepixie on February 18, 2017

I like that you could throw in a Groucho Marx (I think) quote even though you're sick. Feel better soon

Chef, after this video I know I will follow you forever, I have been a long time subscriber (made all your super bowl recipes, bread, most of your meat courses) but after this, I just want to say, that you are brilliant, not only culinarily talented, but you are specially articulated and although it's a 2, wait 1-step soup… (It took me 3 replays to see if I understood it right…) brilliant, just brilliant… and the recipe too!!

  • Poppi_Weasel on February 18, 2017

  • maxbass on February 18, 2017

Yeah, I set up the camera, set up the lights, just threw in some "easy ingredients I had on hand", then spent 6 hours editing & rendering the video. All to save what, 12 minutes by using a different method.

Ok. Whatever you say. I totally believe you. Why is it so difficult to just be honest?

  • OldManCooking on February 18, 2017

Looks Great to me Chef! But of course I'm a Hick anyway…. Thanks 🙂

  • Holger X on February 18, 2017
