"…or palm sugar if you have it, which you don't."
😅😅
Public service announcement!!! Remember if you are use to wood skewers do not grab the metal skewers!!!! Wood will be hot but the metal ones will burn.
how do we cook it if we have no BBQ? Thanks
Hi CHEF JOHN
gikt dayuxjubf agur'
The Mexicans also use Tamarind.
I hate the voice but love the recipes.
Yum😋😋😋😋
Can we get pad Thai?
Please, please, please, next time give your warning BEFORE you add the Kosher salt. I had already posted both a card and a letter, and dropped them in the box, when you said to NOT send them. I would have saved on postage.
I want to know how to make potato chips
Your Tamarind paste is super dark and molassesy. That's not what I usually find in asian supermarkets or what I make when I use this recipe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4a0YVco24Yw&ab_channel=Pailin%27sKitchen
Wow how did you know this
Eager to try this … Do you have a link to your cucumber salad recipe?
Back in the early 90's when we lived in Queensland there was an Asian lady that had married an Aussie bloke and together they offered lamb satay at the local Farmer's Market. They always sold out…best I've ever had. Back then I thought they were say "saute". lol. We'd never heard of Satay before.
AT 2:18 THERE IS AN ANT IN THE BOWL DEAR LORD
Hi from UK. Tried this at the weekend – ITS AMAZING. There are only 2 of us so there were left overs. Today I sliced the cubes of meat to half a centimetre (quarter inch) and put in a skillet with a tiny bit of water and the left over peanut dipping sauce. Stirred around on a high heat for 2 mins, then a low heat with a lid on for 5 minutes just to heat through the meat. This all went into tortilla wraps with tomato, lettuce and cilanto. THEY WERE DELICIOUS TOO. Thanks, Chef John, you are my new go-to guy.
The intro song always makes me think of RedLetterMedia.
What's kissakaianne? Where do I get it? Is it expensive?
I will have to do this 🙂
So happy happy I found your channel. You make cooking look easy! Thank you!
Ive just found this page, i love his commentary… "palm sugar if you have it?, but you dont? " 🤣🤣🤣
Turmeric stains EVERYHING. I stopped cooking with it.
Go ahead and whack it off 🙂
Ahem. I have palm sugar. Don’t assume.
Thank you
Do you actually talk like this?
John… you're alright !
Trendy high carb diets lol!
If you see a large solid piece you can whack it off.
2:19 I see you lil bug!
BRO IT'S HARAM IT'S FUCKING HARAM IT'S HARAM PIG IS HARAM BRO
I’m originally from Penang, Malaysia and now residing in California. Penang has a lot of delicious hawker foods and I miss them all. I will definitely try your yummy recipe. Thank you Chef John and have a fabulous weekend.
Jeez chef John it wounds like you have a bunch of keyboard chefs with the prepared reasons why things are done in your recipes 😂
Too many exotic spices!
I have both been to Penang and had Satay there. Fun time, great food.
Dear Chef John, Thank you for a very entertaining and interesting show. I appreciate your good humour. You are one of nature's true gentlemen, unlike the arrogant French Chef on you tube who think they are heaven's gift to the culinary art. Your deliver is free of profanities, racial abuse and blasphemies. I always watch your presentations as they are not only a delight to watch but also gastronomically delicious to make. Thank you.
WOWOWOW! Chef John. Absolutely delicious! and as always…….I ENJOYED!
When I'm bored of my own cooking this is where I go! Thanks John!
Love Penang. And whilst I've never had these in Penang, I would order them if I found them 🤣
So delicious. I have ever before 😍😍😍
As a person from Penang, this recipe isn’t. Sorry John.
Yum
Jajajajaja no mames wey
And as akways, best channel on YouTube. Thanks again, chef!

The Marvin Gaye + "heard through the grapevine" combo reference was thoroughly enjoyed by me.
