    That’s America’s problem right there: ‘they taking my free health care’ America is an awful country, it’s a business country, not somewhere to live. Free healthcare is part of European life, that won’t change people won’t say that

    Poland wishes to create the commonwealth of Poland by taking over Ukraine and Russia (once it has fallen) and also bringing the Baltics, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania under its sphere of influence. It did not take 5+ million Ukrainian refugees for nothing. The Poles were discussing how hard it would be to make the Ukrainians and Russians learn Polish and how to deal with so many women. But they might have found a solution as they plan to introduce polygamy and also abortion is illegal in Poland, so all the kids born will automatically learn Polish.

    A Pole from Poznań here.
    Its not like we will not be willing to continue to help people. The problem is that we simply dont have enough money to do so for an extented period of time. At some point we will run out of money. Me and my fellow business partner (we have 2 small businesses) are currently helping 3 families one of those families actually speaks a bit polish. We managed to find a job for that lady, but we have srs trouble to find work the other 2 families (2 mothers, a babuszka and one adult teenage girl), bcoz of the language barrier. And even if we manage to find a job for all of them, those would be low salary jobs and that aint enough to feed families.

    In other words. Yes, so far we able to help them with housing and food and we can go like this for eventually another 3-4 months maybe, but we are not super rich. We are spending our savings to help those people and those savings will dry out sooner or later.

    The United Nations need to step up their game and help us with this crisis.

    And a quick reminder. Poland is right now NATOs most important country in terms of being the major front in terms of a confilict with Russia and in terms of helping the Ukrainians. If Poland runs out of money the military stability of the region will be at major risk.

    Bo byłem głodny, a daliście Mi jeść;
    byłem spragniony, a daliście Mi pić;
    byłem przybyszem, a przyjęliście Mnie;
    36 byłem nagi, a przyodzialiście Mnie;
    byłem chory, a odwiedziliście Mnie;
    byłem w więzieniu, a przyszliście do Mnie

    Lets be realistic: those refugees are not going to help Poland with workers shortage. It's going to be just opposite. Elderly will not work. Children will not work. Mothers of small children wont do that either. Very low percentage of those refugees are going to fuel Polish economy….

    actual refugees welcome

  • Øystein A. on May 4, 2022

    Be aware that helping refugees and being against immigration is a common position. Sheltering a refuge is a temporary expense that buys goodwill from the world, increased moral standing and in particular goodwill from the assisted nation. An immigrant is someone who seeks to settle in another nation. A refugee has not emigrated for the purpose of resettling but for temporary security. Thus, most people who are against immigration tend to accept refugees, but have a lower tolerance level as to how many and for how long refugees should be assisted.

    There's enough space in the US to accommodate half of Ukraine. Would be great for capitalism and the real estate business.
