Mehdi Hasan appears as clueless as these two so called experts including sleepy Joe. If Russia invades Ukraine the entire world couldn't do a thing.
The bad Russians ( Gorbatchev) stopped soviet dictatorship in East Europe. The good democratic states invaded in Afghanstan, Irak, Yougoslavia. American Bushes and Rumsfelds are worse than all the Putins. Ask whistleblowers like Snowden or Assange.
You can't expect Putin to play nice what so ever and you don't deploy mass numbers of troops and military equipment at this level unless you plan to attack.. this is a deadly game of cat and mouse. Im quite certain that Germany all ready knew full well what Putin was playing.

This is the dumbest nonsense commentating ever. Why would the US want to support Ukraine? They poked the bear. Russia has oil. Russia has a bigger say. Russia doesn’t like something that the Ukraine did and of course there’s a little Turkey mixed in this mess too. I can’t say that I’m in agreement that all nations need to jump on the Ukraine bandwagon. Russia isn’t doing anything but protecting Russia and I see no issues with that. Russia hasn’t invaded anyone. Ukraine needs to back off and stop poking bears when they sleep. Dumb. It’s that simple. Anything else is warmongering.

To all the reasons left or right l have yet to hear any of these distinguished diplomats, propose let's make a buffer zone or a demilitarized zone, like the demilitarized, buffer zone, between North and South Korea. The western powers and Western Ukraine will remove all military hardware and soldier's from that buffer zone and Russia and Belarus, will do the same, and a U. N peace keeping force will monitor the areas. All the proposals that one side makes is rebuked by the other side, and it seems that every day that passes, the World Economic situation just keeps growing worse, lt seems like the American Government is poised and preparing for war, because it seems that when they can't solve the Nation's problems WAR becomes the SoLUTIoN to fix them. After all war is great for Wall Street, and the Industrial Military Complex.
