    Can anyone experienced please tell me if this can be emulsified somehow? I don't know how with the chicken, but pumpkin/curry is something I would love smoothed with an emulsifier. Thanks!

    I made this for my family about a week ago and it is far and away the best soup that I've ever eaten. My grandmother who doesn't like curry loved it, by grandfather who can't have spicy foods liked it, my mother who was skeptical about the pumpkin in it had a second helping and all of the leftovers, and I ate until I was full. This is a recipe that I will save for my future descendants for them to enjoy as well. Thank you for this amazing recipe, Chef John, and all of the work you do to give us these amazing videos!

    Very good, easy and not too long. I made it with some chicken from an whole one already cooked, poured it on the bottom of the boll with the soop over it. Thanks chef John.

    I made this at first thinking it would be too soupy (and also I didn't have a enough curry paste so I was hoping to conectrate it more). My mistake for not listening to Chef John. Came out too chunky! So I scooped everything out, added the 2 cups of chicken stock that I did not add at the end with the pumpkin, ran to the store for more curry paste, and boiled for about 10min. Moral of the story: Chef John's recipe is already perfect! Seriously! Despite the slight mess up, my family loved the dish. Might make it again next week

    We are, after all, the substitution bumpkin of our Japanese pumpkin.

    So instead we used a similar amount of butternut squash and sweet potato. It absolutely is a comfort food even done that way and is now a favorite! Oh, using purple sweet potato is fun too!

    I just made this. It is delicious, but to make it more like a curry, I only used 2 cups of broth. I also used way more than 2 Tbsp of curry paste.
