This is like a fancy version of Atomic Buffalo Turds, maybe you should wrap them in serrano after baking or in bacon beforehand. 😉

  • Aíta Yusta on May 10, 2014

Hahaha, this recipe looks so strange to me!, I'm spanish, and in my country the typical dish is pimientos (peppers) stuffed with codfish, or maybe tuna and shrimp 🙂 Never tried sausage stuffed ones, but they look delicious, as everything you make!

  • Prairielander on May 10, 2014

I just made these and they are awesome! I didn't have a blood orange, so I just used my blood instead. At least I'm not insane because I tried making these. 😛

  • Lynnsey Kat on May 11, 2014

Just wanted to let you know that I watch one video of yours every night before I fall asleep. Your voice is soothing, your jokes help me relax from a day of chaos and the food is beautiful. A perfect way to end my day. Thanks chef John!

  • marini on November 8, 2014

  • briandcare1 on February 9, 2015

You are hands down my favorite Chef here. I have watched hundreds of recipes and I was locked into your chanel while looking for lasagna ideas. I made yours and it hit the spot! Thanks……

  • None None on March 10, 2015

Hahah…. spite lol you kill me 😊

  • Lance Bradshaw on April 16, 2015

I tried this yesterday, but I didn't get the right kind of peppers. So instead of making convenient little stuffed peppers, I ended up just putting it all on top of the extra rice I made to go with it. Despite not being as visually appealing as the dish in the video, I thought it was a delicious recipe. For that reason, I'll give this video a "like". I hope to try it the correct way in the future.

  • pronumeral1446 on June 9, 2016

Y'know… it just so happens I have leftover basmati rice and piquillo peppers in the fridge…

  • theBraxil on April 18, 2017

Hi cheif john. My neighbour cat just make kittens but no one else is hungry. Will this recipe work for kitten instead of pepper? Thank you.

  • Forth Sadler on June 20, 2017

At first glance I thought this said it was stuffed with goat rather than just goat cheese. I might have to make it that way now just because. But still with the chevre as well because I'm not a monster. Not for that reason anyway.

  • Syndelle on July 11, 2017

    "spite." I lost it. 😂😂

  • Kian Makanvand on March 28, 2018

I unintentionally said "ooooo" at the same time as Chef John when he introduced the blood orange

  • Brenda Lawrence on May 11, 2018

Chef, have never seen you use curly parsley, always flat Italian. Any reason??

  • Ori Tuvia on August 13, 2018

I love Piquillo Peppers. Thank you for this great receipt. I've been happy to just use them in a sandwich. This is going to be fun to do.

  • TTabood on March 26, 2020

Anyone else go to John's blog for info on the peppers and catch yourself reading in John's voice?

  • Cyndi Foore on December 29, 2020

I just made this for supper. I didn’t have any oranges or eggs but it came out delicious! I thought about using pomegranate paste but didn’t. I made extra filling so I’ll add some to it in a day or two.
This really is incredible. And it’s gluten free.
