wonderful! I love how you present every single dish. Looks like a michelin star restaurant! By the way: Is not easy for me to find fresh corn at my place. Would it be still acceptable to use canned corn?

Makes a BIG difference in presentation.  Beautiful!  Thanks.

Why can't vegans/vegetarians  eat mollusks? They aren't really animals.

  • TheBoobiesmith on August 13, 2014

  • C Hart on September 9, 2014

    Absolutely gorgeous!
Simple, yet a perfect marriage of savory and sweet with a slight touch of heat.  Would it be wrong to consider this a dessert?
    Yum!

Use oyster mushrooms for vegan scallops. Yessss amazing.

  • jnberger on October 11, 2014

    This was delicious!

  • etherdog on August 29, 2015

Corny sweetness is your humour. Sweet corniness is the juice from fresh-cut corn. 🙂

  • EC912 on September 3, 2015

I enjoy playing both this and the standard version video side by side and it feels like Chef John's talking with that old-fashioned echoing microphone. LOL

  • Yummylove on December 18, 2015

If I cook frozen scallops instead of fresh . Would the taste be different ?

  • Nguyễn Duy on April 11, 2016

So yumy , i want to eat this

  • Mark Wood on June 23, 2016

Made this last night with yellow and white sweet corn, garnished with our fresh chives, phenomenal, thanks for the recipe! Also made a side of asparagus bites sautéed in olive oil salt and pepper, was a great addition along with some white chicken stock rice. Yum!

DESTROYED scallops with all that fucking crap

  • maserin1 on November 2, 2017

Looks so pro for just 4 ingredients! Thanks for the tip about not putting hot stuff in blenders, but I have to ask: why? Can't think of a good reason. Seems to me like hot liquids would be thinner and easier to blend than cooler, thicker ones.

  • Killian Barrans on January 25, 2018

    A dangerously hot pan

  • Goose on April 17, 2021

This is such an amazing dish. We used to serve this at a restaurant I used to work at and the flavors are uhhhhmazing!!! Such a simple sauce, but yet it compliments the scallops wonderfully!!!
    YUMMMMM!!!
