Jones is a psychopath who has made a lot of money pedalling lies with not the least bit concern for the harm he has caused because psychopaths lack empathy and cannot feel concern. Appealing to Jones and trying to shame him in court and make him own up will not work because he is incapable of caring. The solution to Jones harming people is to put him out of circulation for a very long time. When Jones sees these parents talking emotionally about the children they lost, the only thing that stops him laughing in front of their faces is his calculation that it might not give him the court outcome that he wants. There is no cure for psychopathy. Lock him up.
