Your comment about the Mexican who called ketchup "American sauce" reminded me of the first time I shopped for Worcestershire sauce in France. When I finally found some, the bottles were labeled, "Sauce Anglais". That translates to English sauce. (BTW it was Heinz, not Lea & Perrins.)

sloppy pot…this is a recipe that we call mince stew in new zealand. u brown the mince first and frt the onions then add water,any flavours youwant,veges,pasta etc but ours often contain potatoes,kumara and my favourite…dumplings made with mixed herbs,yummy cheap and the kids will eat.
