    China is too big, and the food materials in different regions are very different. There are very few cattle in central China, and of course there are not many tails, so it is difficult to buy.

    Unfortunately, oxtails are not cheap any longer in the US and haven't been for quite a long time. The last time I bought them they were $7.28 per pound—hardly a bargain for bony meat. I love them, though, and make them occasionally.

    Cheap? not in Canada,.some reason all those meats like Oxtail's, pork hocks..just doubled in price..the butchers don't even have marrow bones for soup..they are rip offs..beyond greed took over..
