I just made the mixture and placed in the fridge to cool. My youngest daughter is an RN and working during the holidays and thus we're celebrating tonight…….hoping they're going to be as yummy as they look. Merry Christmas and thanks for the recipe.

Great Recipe, thanks. I make seafood/fish cakes containing one pound fish of the day ½ pound shrimp, ½ pound crab meat, seasonings of choice, 3 egg whites and a quarter pound of shrimp puree (coat with panko). It's Keto friendly, as is this.

  • aierce on February 7, 2021

Skip crushing and cutting the garlic and other herbs, they are going in food processor anyways

  • Dr. Stacey on February 22, 2021

I made these tonight. Flavors are spot on! So yummy!! I didn’t make them as thin and texturally they needed something. So if you’re making them for dinner, I would suggest making them thin and have like 4 of them or add in some chopped scallions or maybe some small diced water chestnuts.
But as always Chef John come through with an amazing recipe to keep cooking at home lively and interesting.
I served them with store bought sweet Thai chili sauce (I know, I know) rice and Asian fried green beans. An amazing dinner.
    Thank you Chef John ❤️

Tried these shrimp cakes and they are the best. Have shared them with neighbours and the response has been incredible. I plan on using this recipe to make larger patties and have as a burger. Tried scallop burgers a couple of weeks ago and I think these would be right up there.

  • Linda Allen on March 7, 2021

    Turmeric. Nuff said.

  • Truth on March 9, 2021

I'm sure they're great but the shrimp toast is better imo. lol

Usually a Chef John fan, but these don't look that great. Greasy and mushy.

  • Dolly Bob on June 28, 2021

    lo u

  • Tom Barse on July 8, 2021

Do you think you could make this with raw fish filets instead of shrimp?

  • Renee Mills-Mistretta on July 9, 2021

Adding lime zest & a little lime lime juice to the processor with all of the ingredients would've added much needed sour (acid) flavor.

  • Conner Poul on July 18, 2021

Show you recipe ingredients thank you 😊

  • Ron Jetko on August 6, 2021
