I had never had white anchovies until a few years ago when I ordered a salade Nicoise in Paris and it came with these instead of the usual ones. LOVED them. Hard to find, but worth it!!!! This tartine looks wonderful and tastes even better.

Chef John, this video inspired me to make my own take on tartine. I made the garlic lemon aioli you made in this video and instead anchovies I used shrimp. I also topped it with some guacamole. It was soooo good! As a 21 year old college student I love to find quick and easy meals, and your channel defintely provides me with some. Thanks for all the entertainment, the inspiration, and the yummy food!
