Uh…. just dig a hole instead of playing in a toilet. Or even better move to a better city just like the powers that be want. I am sure land value will soar in Detroit in a few decades.

People in the comments section are utterly stupid. If the U.S government does not care about the living conditions for people in Detroit and in other states, those people should move to different countries (Europe, Australia, Africa) I understand no country is perfect but after seeing how this woman lives with her children is heart breaking and disgusting at the same time. She should leave the U.S, if you are an American citizen but you don't even have basic features like flushing a toilet in this century, I find it hard to believe someone can be proud to be an American :-/

This is just bullshit, if we were an equal country, we would have free water but its supposedly not a right to us? What type of shit, and then you have people who vote for a greedy shitty ass president who doesnt give a shit about "humans" but only himself and stupid ass reputation?

  • Lewis Doherty on March 19, 2017

This title was so misleading. It should have been, "The Detroit Deadbeat Crisis."

I got an ad from a bottled water company. claiming to give water to people in need. But I will say right now; that is green-washing! tap water is more heavily regulated than that plastic bottle crap. don't buy into their hype; get yourself an RO filter if you feel so inclined.

Don't let these megacorps profit from your ignorance.

Refuse to pay for water filtering and delivery from a river, go get it yourself.

Zero sympathy for the lazy fucks who think they can use public infrastructure for free while the rest pay.

  • Galo Aguirre on March 19, 2017

How do you pay for it? Give tax breaks to the rich. Ask Donald J. Trump.

  • CDTucker336 on March 19, 2017

What does she expect? Running water in an abandoned free home? Also this is a completely different problem from the cities contaminated water.

  • Enio Leyva on March 19, 2017

how the fuck do you guys have a 30 minute video about some elk but people out there being poisoned by their water and they get 3 minutes?

Ok enough bullshit of the social media here's what happened Detroit was a prosperous city but that was from 1920's to the 1970's and everyone should know that back then their where less chances of people being healthy and to live a longevity happy life.
We however have more at hand than the past did but what do we do, no no no it's of what have done, we always eat meat or unhealthy sources and medicines most of our current people alive abuse the medication such as medical marijuana and pardon me to say this but everyone should know that in 1930's kids where used as sponsors for medical cocaine to help relieve war veterans but many veterans abused or best said took advantage of the providing system and so they became a lesser being for their psycho actions after seeing many scream or talk fast nowadays we call them freaks.
But the lead to the cities error was the loss of forcing people to innovate with the city or at least moving to an apartment to remodel a no longer habitable house in a long abandoned region of the old city, many must evolve to stay with the best survival and clearly here the media doesn't show that the family has been living in that house for generations and never took in mind that the future will not only change around but may also leave you behind, it's sad but it's true it's time for the family to make claims and legally move into a more suitable place instead of a filthy house.

It's rare but all of those houses should be removed worldwide and set up a better innovation housing design to house people in economic beauty housing or just ignore the worlds crisis and go spend in making apartments and shopping malls.

Detroit was once I imagine a beautiful community where people may have done things that might make us feel bad this day in what it has become.

So far their is a lot of homeless people living illegally inside of those uninhabitable houses sad to see them nearly get shot for being mistaken as meth producers.

And yet, trump wants to spend millions in defense… and a wall..

  • Hope Lomax Jacks on March 21, 2017

First people need to realize the water bills went up when the economy went down. Leaving these people to have to pay water bills that are hiked up. And what's said is the woman was paying her water. I'll to the landlord who didn't use the money properly?!?! Y'all are so quick to judge these people and not give help to your fellow brothers and sisters here in America but don't think twice of helping another country instead of helping your own?!?! It infuriates me that we so quickly help other countries but not our own people!!!!

  • The Amazing Channel on March 22, 2017

This is the kind of leftist propaganda that has been forging socialist ideology for decades in the hearts and minds of newer generations. Remember one thing: to argue that the government has to give you everything in your life inherently means that the government will be involved in everything in your life. Go google "communism".
