great video. intermittent fasting really works for me and my family. it's pretty easy actually since all we need to do is to cut out breakfast, which is fine. it does make my body feel really good.

Thanks a lot for the video, I do have a question : Imagine someone with 172 cm hight and 72 kilos weight, wants to follow intimate fasting, in general they should take around 1800 calories per days, and if they do 5 days intensive workouts and 2 days pilates and yoga and they walk at least 10k per days , they burn between 500 till 700 calories everyday and they are on calorie deficit for 300 calories a day. my question is do we count the cal we burn by workout as cal deficit or not cal deficit is only the cal we avoid to take?

My intermittent fasting started last March 2023, I started with 16 hours and gradually worked my way up to OMAD. It can be daunting at first and what I suggest is start on your day off because the very first day of IF you will feel very tired because your body is looking for the carbs, in that way, you can just sleep it off and wait til you have your eating period open again. The next day, your body has now adapted and you can now do the tasks that you are supposed to do at work.

I suggest doing 16/8 for a week, 18/6 for another week, and maintain 20/4 until you can gradually do OMAD.

The benefits of IF for me is weight loss, a healthier liver, and clearer skin. It also helped me glow from the insides, my bowel movement became normal, and my sleep was regulated that I didn't need melatonin anymore. I started going to the gym and doing heavy lifts so now I'm back to 18/6 fasting because I need that energy so I can increase my workout intensity. And during my bulking phase I only eat high protein, mid carb, low fat food to maximize my muscle building and fat loss. Make sure to do your fasting cardio to increase the intensity of fat burning.

For caffeine I do Monster in thebmorning. Fasting is amazing. I do only breakfast and diner. When I did lunch I ended up eating above my calorie deficit.

Islamic fasting, the original form of fasting, focuses on spiritual growth and self-discipline, and it can also help with burning fat and improving health.

  • @MB031 on June 3, 2024

Yes but when you stop IF you gain it no diet work, unless you starve till rest of your life.

  • @TatlKanc on June 3, 2024

    you are not natural 😀

  • @sandyv6266 on June 3, 2024

What are you eating that you're getting 150 g protein in one day?

  • @user-ne2zx3nd2k on June 3, 2024

Tried intermittent fasting combined with removing all sugar and most bread from my diet, and rope jumping for 30 minutes daily (skipped a day here and there) with some pushups on top of it. Result was pretty shocking, in like 2 months i saw my abs for the first time and it was pretty weird how people started talking to me about the weight loss and getting in shape like i knew anything about it at that point, besides testing things out on myself. Long story short i didn't last long in that lifestyle at the time and got back to eating unhealthy. Right now I am 2 weeks into removing all sugar and bread from my diet once again and pretty much attempting to repeat the same progress from back then and this time secure/not lose it afterwards.

If you do the same thing as I and combine intermittent fasting with removing bad food from your diet, while adding some form of cardio on top of it (rope jumping in my case) you will lose so much fat it will feel weird. But the hard part is to not go back to your bad habits afterwards, atleast it was for me. Good luck everyone.

Thanks doc , so it’s basically another method of creating Caloric deficit which is the key element in losing fat while gaining muscle mass (provided the exercise)

  • @DigitalDimi on June 4, 2024

1g of protein per pound is kinda too much for me. I'm a tall guy (1.86), mesomorph body type. I'm about 215 pounds atm (about 97 kg). Trying to get back to my pre-married wight of 83-86 kg (about 190 pounds). I used to be a pro junior tennis player. If I follow the rule of 1g of protein per pound I'm feeling stuffed and I'm not feeling OK at all. I do live by the rule 16/8 for the past 12 months – I used to be 245 pounds before I started fasting. I'm trying to do a 24/0 fast every 2 weeks and it was hard the first try but after that it feels really refreshing.

I have cheat days – these are the days before any long-distance cycling event. I have to bulk my body with carbs in order be able to endure a 100+ km (60+ miles) ride the next day. So I just stuff myself with rice, pasta and oatmeal before I go to bed.

  • @icecold4o on June 5, 2024

Lost 20kg in 1 month by just eating a kebab everyday once basically fasting and the rest of the 23 hours. Only water and tea and I don’t even have no yo-yo effect

  • @BelleApostolova on June 5, 2024

I don't have breakfast ,but i also cant have clean coffee. its either coffee with milk or no coffee at all. and problem is ,soya and almond milk ( I am on keto, its a lifestyle for me, has helped in my pole dancing , and modeling journey). Now.. i used to have one big meal a day, dinner only, in the morning, I used to mix protein powder with my coffee and soya milk, gotta love the vanilla flavour..
Now.. i find it difficult to go back to the proper fasting I did because of the coffee.. i have caffeine withdrawals and headaches, if i skip it.

  • @-Snakekiller- on June 7, 2024

Without having done any research beforehand, I learned a few strategies all by myself and naturally, so to speak.
It just happened that way for me.

I started eating my first meal at lunchtime and a second in the evening.
And if I'm hungry beforehand, I go and do some exercise. To distract myself from the cravings.

The meals I thought about/chose were eventually all very high in protein.

Interesting how the body can push you in the right direction 🙂
