Puerto Rico is bracing for Storm Fiona’s impact. Already winds are increasing and waves swelling. Residents are bracing for flash floods and mudslides. The tropical storm could become a hurricane tomorrow. Many are racing to fill gas tanks as officials in some towns warn residents to evacuate. Fear was well-founded after Hurricanes Maria and Irma ravaged the island’s fragile power grid. The governor also got an early taste when the lights went out during his press conference. He is now urging citizens not to underestimate the storm.
