Mayor Trzaskowski is from a political party financed by german' government so he is not a trusted source of information about the situation in Poland.
Polish government, the Prime Minister Mr. Morawiecki, the President Mr. Duda, and the President of Central Bank Mr. Glapinski are doing for Ukraina and Ukrainians people much much much much more than all city mayors and all NGOs in Poland. They opened Polish borders to all Ukrainian refugees without any limits, ordered all state and non-state agencies to provide immediate help and support, free of charge transport by buses and by train, provided money for every refugee, they allowed every refugee to work in Poland without any limits, they provided health care support on the same level as for Polish citizens, they organized places where refugees can stay, they are giving you money for taking a refugee to your home (per head and per day), they arranged hospitals and special trains to transport and help injured, they have taken Ukrainian children to kindergartens and to schools free of charge, they have allowed Ukrainians to open their own classes and schools! They have sent more than 200 tanks and dozens of howitzers and armored transporters, unofficially they have sent not disclosed number of fighter jets, thousands of machine guns and anti aircraft missiles, they have launched numerous campaigns in media to support Ukraina and Ukrainian refugees, they are leaders in applying sanctions on russia, they are applying enormous pressure on germany and other governments to support Ukraina, they were the first to visit Mr. President Zelenski when russians have been storming and bombarding Kiev, they have provided funds to Central Bank of Ukraina to stabilize currency and current expenditures, they allowed state funded exchange of Ukrainian currency, etc. etc. The list is very long, and the only thing I can say is that I am very proud of Polish Government and Polish President. Slava Ukraini! Glory to Poland! Eternal glory to heroes and all people who did the right thing at the right time!

My family in the US is Polish on one side and Ukrainian on the other, and there was a time when the two sides did not get along here in the USA. It's heartening to see Slav help Slav, and for these two countries to come together in support of of their common goal of peace and sovereignty. Slava Ukraini.

Folks, appreciate all your praise, yet I think what we really need is that all of you, instead, will start talking to your neighbors, family members, co-workers etc. and start pushing your policy makers to actually help us to solve with this crisis. Any country on the forefront absorbing this number of people in need seeks a true solidarity of people of good will. There are tremendous words of appreciation and appraisal but it's not going to help us, the Polish people, to deal with this enormous challenge. Please, let us show to Putin why the West has the moral advantage over the "Z" regime.

The Mayor of Warsaw is a laughingstock of Poland. The guy is a total hack, radical leftist and a Soros lackey. He's been mismanaging the city and rarely participates in most of the city's basic governmental affairs. When he mentioned the "vicious attack by central government on the LGBT community" I burst out laughing. Nothing like that ever happened. Poland is one of the most tolerant nations in entire Europe and is accepting and welcoming of everyone but there are rules and no one has the right to infringe on our culture and our traditions. Live as you like, be who you like but tolerance is a two way street. Warsaw is also a very expensive city and rent is very high and to buy a typical one bedroom apartment is usually impossible for an average person. This guys is a total bull$$hitter but I'm very surprised he speaks English so well.
I'm delighted. Also am aware that for Poland it is essentials that Ukraine win this war…cause that affects them 1:1 ratio. And what comes around goes around, Ukraine will help them in need in the future if needed.

Remember that the mayor of Warsaw is a politician from the oposition party. He lost in presidential election. What he says about government attacks on lgbt is not true. He could not resist it.
