  • Randal Walker on December 9, 2021

Congress needs to reopen the dungeons and hold these people in a jail cell …until they come clean

  • oftenlucid on December 9, 2021

Meadows argument is that "They are looking for evidence against me and didn't have the courtesy to tell me" That is some unbridled Privileged. If I were to try and use that excuse In court, I would be laughed out of court. Meadows should be embarrassed and ashamed.

  • Martin Whalley on December 9, 2021

The difference being the GQP is committed to fascism. Do you guys think it would be good for anybody to marry a NAZI work for a NAZI bff a NAZI.
It was a Trump thing, now its party wide. Those nice Nazis would be willing to marry us, befriend us, employ us! Give it a mf break. Who is covering your blind spot. Gum on the sidewalk, your head is in the clouds, Joe

  • Rocket Boards on December 9, 2021

Joe, you can't engage with Trumpism, and Trumpism IS the republican party today. Being a college educated millennial, I still engage, but I feel it's completely useless. You used to be able to argue ideas but today, the right has alternative facts, statistics, and data. For example, I tried telling my mom 98% of those in the hospital are unvaccinated. She said "no they aren't, 60% of those in hospitals are vaccinated". Basically, we're living in different realities. She has her own facts, contrary to the CDC and all major health organizations, to confirm to herself that the vaccines are dangerous, killing Americans left an right and they don't even work. So when it comes to "are vaccine mandates good or bad", there's no debating because the premise of that debate for her is based in complete lies. That is the difference between the republican party in your day Joe and in my day. there is not debating, because despite illegal immigrants being less than 0.01% of the population, the right created data to say they are the ones spreading covid and with out them, covid wouldn't be a problem. If we agreed on the same data, we could have a debate. Bu you can't debate over fake data that she reads from some rando website with no sources cited.

  • David Atkinson on December 9, 2021

Executive privilege? What executive privilege? They have no executive privilege. Trump has no power to institute executive privilege.

  • A Little Bird on December 9, 2021

As an independent, of course I'm not gonna befriend you if you vote Republican. If you vote Republican than you are either 1. Self-centered 2. Pure evil 3. A fool 4. All of the above. I do not see a meaningful relationship being formed with these people.

  • Victoria Davis on December 9, 2021

Set all other hearing aside, postpone other hearings like this one. This seems like Government overreach when those who used social media to promote a violent attack on our government are being allowed to postpone or no show at hearings without viable cause. These Politicians [Trump and his coconspirators, Trump who told them to stand down on National TV during debate rather than denounce Supremist support] and their Proud Boy offenders who Trump also on TV told them to come to Portland. They all need charged and Jailed. Informing the media of progress while coconspirators in Congress and the Senate walk. Sending a bad message. In my opinion,

  • Lucy B on December 9, 2021

a new word just popped into my head to describe Meadows' book: "sycophantasy"

  • AmberWaves on December 9, 2021

Pre-Pres Trump, I wouldn't have ruled someone out to date because they were a Republican. It's what has changed- too many Republicans now are ranting, rage-filled, illogical people who can't detach the rest of their lives from a political party run amok. None of those are desirable qualities in a date or partner.

  • Shelley Booth on December 9, 2021

I am 64 and a democrat and I feel the same as the college students. In fact I am in college. Voting for trump is different than voting for a bush. Things are different

  • Chris Ashcroft on December 9, 2021

Meadows is another soulless Trump puppet. He would wipe his feet on the flag if Agent Orange told him to.

  • Edward D'Esposito on December 9, 2021

The problem with social media is only the most appealing images and figures go to the top because they get the most clicks. So you get 12 year old girls looking at 23 year old super models. Suddenly girls think this is what I need to be like to be popular. It’s like Hollywood but in cyberspace. The only way to fix it is to limit the age ranges kids are exposed to and geo fence the content. Under 12 is kids in their school and their grade. Over 12 is their school district and one year older/younger. high school, limit to high school students in their county. 18 year olds open it up to all adults. That limits the exposure and limit the content and material they are exposed to. Not just in one platform either. Any platform with under age children.

  • John Mcsorley on December 9, 2021

    A weak and corrupt democacy.

  • Mike Peterson on December 9, 2021

Meadows has been threatened by Darth Vader. Don't let dark side detail democracy. Progressives are the future . Legal system and equality in the marketplace needs progressive change.

  • Dennis Oliver on December 9, 2021

John Kerry did the same thing when Barry Soetoro was President.

  • Tom Smith on December 9, 2021

Being around wingnut republicans makes my skin crawl.

  • Richard on December 9, 2021

God Bless Steve Bannon……….. expose these parasites in Congress.!!!!!!!

  • Yourdeadmeat69 on December 9, 2021

Gaetz loves Instagram. It helps him groom high school girls.

  • Tomas Pita on December 9, 2021

Ziss is za sing, you see – vant a cigarette old man? Waterboard? SERIOUSLY – these people are a greater threat to the country than any of the people still hanging from their thumbs at Gitmo. WTF – treat them with kidgloves, people think it's all good. IT AIN'T ALL GOOD

  • RG on December 9, 2021

Throw them jail and get over with the bull💩

  • Alicia N.J. on December 9, 2021

It's obvious that Donald Trump has dirt on all of these people.

  • Robert Dennison on December 9, 2021

The one thing you can count on with GOP members is you can't count on them to keep their word. Admitted liars.

  • Carl Millholland on December 9, 2021

Come 2024, one of three things will happen.

Trump will win, in which case they will proceed to dismantle our governmental system. The people who stuck around for the first term, to make sure they can do their part to keep things together, will quit voluntarily, become ostracized to the point of quitting or just be fired. A gang of stooges will run the country, and you don't get a say.

Trump loses. A brown-shirt militia will tear apart our governmental system, with the help of some Republican governors. They will openly and violently attack the voting system, and everyone from school board members to the Squad in Congress.

Or, three, what's now left of sane America, starting with Congress, the Justice Dept and some federal judges will prosecute these insurrectionists and demonstrate that you cannot get away with trying to tear down the U.S. democracy with lies and scandal. However, the time for the third option is becoming very short. And these sane people cannot afford to dither one day longer with procedures and niceties, or worrying what Fox News is going to say. Bannon and Meadows need to go jail–even on flimsy charges that simply get them off the street, with Stone and the rest to follow shortly.

    The alternative is institutional chaos.

  • Sue Zbell on December 9, 2021

Meadows was pretending to cooperate while waiting for money from RNC or "45" supporters to pay those legal fees?

  • Julia McKenzie on December 9, 2021

It's only because the democrats don't want to be killed by the republicans!

  • Sue Zbell on December 9, 2021

That poll reflects character judgments. Today's Republican party is not a political party — it is a fascist cult.

  • J B on December 9, 2021

We are the Weimar Republic. Watch history repeat itself. Sickening and sad.

  • Debra Legorreta on December 9, 2021

If you get your news from MSNBC, you only have yourself to blame.

  • Ann Vorderbrueggen on December 9, 2021

I wonder if they obtain the phone records, would they reveal overseas calls? Perhaps that’s what they fear?

  • Jonathan Fesmire, Steampunk Author on December 9, 2021

Republicans are more tolerant politically? No, they're more abusive (or at least their representatives are), and Democrats don't want to be around that. If you guys don't get that, it's hard to understand how. If you do, then you're gaslighting.

  • Gavin Boot on December 9, 2021

America,,you fools,, you are playing checkers while the world plays chess,,you are being divided to be conquered,,,and manoeuvred into a no escape position,,,have none of you read Sun Zu ,,???,,

  • Redrum Creations on December 9, 2021

All something like the report on college students not dating outside of their party affiliation does is further tribalize and divide our country with data… It's irresponsible to not push toward embracing our fellow Americans and instead report on how divided we are… Also, the fact those statements lack larger context further makes this an irresponsible and country damaging report… Stupid… You all think showing data does more for your cause than it is damaging it… Get a clue.

  • Zyworski on December 9, 2021

Lots of my friends are trumpanzees

  • robertstewart9071 on December 10, 2021

Every since Trump came into politics everything's been tossed upside down. Granted all of this mess was lying dormant but he brought it to the forefront. Those Republicans keep given the law the middle finger and the Democrats need to be more aggressive to stop it

When you see what republicans agree about the racism in america, it's just common sense that you don't want to be associated with republicans. It's not the Democrats but the republicans whom choose to support racist policies. Just look at George Floyd,BLM and the support that dumb45 gave to Chauvin. And now the coward Chauvin wants to avoid a lifetime sentence by agreeing on the fact that he violated George Floyd's rights. Throw away the 🔑 and let dumb45 also get locked up if you want to heal you're country. Also remember…the racial slur….build the wall?
