I know that none of you wealthy GOP asshats in Congress have zero empathy. Your kids go to private schools. You have protective security, as well as excellent health benefits, all thanks to the tax dollars of the very people all of you look down on & step over once you’re in office. So I guess it’s redundant to ask any of you to try to put yourself in our shoes. Imagine it’s YOUR kids getting pummeled with bullets. Imagine burying YOUR kids. Imagine that loss. Imagine not even being able to see your child and hold them one last time because their bodies have been shredded. Imagine the hospital bills, the funeral costs when you’re someone who lives paycheck to paycheck because of the freaking wealth gap the GOP promotes & supports. There’s a part of me that honestly believes that the GOP has intentions behind this shit. That if the gun violence continues, parents will pull their kids out of public schools. That’s a huge win for the GOP- they HATE public education- they don’t want to fund it, and they don’t want children from middle or lower classes becoming educated, because it’s competition against their own spoiled brats who went to private schools, & also because the less educated a person is, the more likely they are to believe lies & propaganda, to not understand what things actually mean, such as democracy, patriotism, theocracy, autocracy, oligarchs or oligopolies. There are so many things all of you have dropped the ball on, & it’s because it either doesn’t affect you & your families, or it’s because you are above the laws, or you have the proverbial life boats. You’re elected leaders to everyone- not just the Trump bullies who want to own arsenals filled with military grade weapons. You should not be beholden to lobbyists, oligarchs, companies, corporations, or dictators. But you are. All of you are owned. You sold your souls. Worst part is- you don’t even care, so long as your bank accounts are full, your healthcare is free, & you are in power. Please know that most of America despises & disrespects every single one of you in the GOP Congress. Anyone that would rather line up to lick the dirty asshole of a corrupt career criminal and promote his lies & agenda to curry favor instead of doing what is best for the majority of Americans, for our future generations, is just plain scum.
I don't believe the GOP will do anything, the talks will stop at the last minute because the GOP donors will have a problem with it. Vote GOP out 2022.

When I was younger I did all my hunting with either a .22 long rifle bolt action or a .308 bolt action. Now it seems you must have a semi auto assault rifle with a 30 or more round magazine. Rabbits and deer have really evolved over 40 years.

Red Flag laws make sense in principle, if you make the assumption that people always act in good faith. Unfortunately, history has shown that simply is not the case. The only proposed measure that makes any sense is inclusion of a minor’s criminal records in the background check. I am a pretty staunch 2A supporter, but I would support that change up to a certain age. For example, a minor’s criminal record could be used in the background check process until someone reaches the age of 25.
