How to add this social sharing buttons at the bottom of the posts?
Just launched an update of this plugin. Go to Settings > Floating Social Bar. Last option on the page says Make Social Bar Static. Check that checkbox and then you will see the option to position this at the bottom of the post.
The social bar is not showing up in home page. Floating along the side would be awesome too.
I'm new to WordPress. There is no "plugins" section on my dashboard.
I love this plugin, how do I get it on my blog? Need help.
Thank You So Much,This Plugin is awesome and best social sharing plugin.Lightweight and fast
This most likely means that you are using WordPress com. The plugins are only available for self-hosted WordPress org users.
It's not meant to be shown on the homepage. It only shows on singular pages such as posts, pages, custom post types.
I love this plugin… any idea how to get the Facebook Like button to work?? I click "Like" and it adds the number "1" for a half second before resetting to "0". Thoughts?
That is the intended behavior of this plugin. The count is stored in cache to prevent the script from loading. This updates every 30 minutes. You can change the cache time as you please.
However if you think about, the user is not going to refresh your page to see if their share went through. Once they have read and shared your article, they will go onto the next one or leave. So they don't see this.
That sounds good to me! I just don't see how it gets shared. I noticed on your website, I click "Like" and it gives me a pop-up to share on my wall. I try from my site and it doesn't happen. Is that normal as well?
No that's not normal. When you click Like and wait your mouse there, it should open a share box below.
And why would they call it "Floating"? Just wondering…
Im finding that when you click 'facebook', the facebook icon drops lower than all the other icons. Does anyone else have this issue?
Complete & Total Awesome Sauce!!! You sir have just earned yourself a subscriber! #ThinkKwiz
This plugin has been recommended in a number of plugin lists b/c it's fast and lightweight, which appeal to me since I want my site to be as fast as possible. I don't like that there are tickers to show how many people have shared an article. It seems like that might not be a good thing in a brand new blog when you are trying to build an audience. It looks bad when you have 0 or 1 share. That info might be good to make public LATER, after you have enough shares for the numbers to look impressive, but not in the beginning. It seems to me that the plugin would be even lighter if it just showed the icons instead of tracking the number of shares.
Solid plugin! I used before
neato! cant wait to try this!
