The plugin you mentioned has not been updated in over 3 years, so current compatibility is uncertain. There is, however another plugin that does the same thing and is tested up to WordPress 5.4.2. It is called WXY Tools Sticky Scroll. You can find it in the WordPress Plugin Repository and at their plugin page on WordPress: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wxy-tools-stickyscroll/
