Hi TechCrunch, I am a bit confused with the tracking system here, can you please clarify whether the bike has a GPS system (like a chip) embedded or if the app simply storages the location where the QR code was last scanned.

  • Francisco Lerma on December 9, 2017

Has no fenders! Good luck with the rain and mud

  • MassDynamic on January 28, 2018

the reason there's bike stations is to control the amount of bikes in an area. people simply leaving bikes wherever they please will cause congestion problems.

  • Ocean Runner on April 1, 2018

They need to come with helmets supplied. Plenty of these bikes available around Darling Harbour Sydney but no helmets. So you either need to come prepared and bring your own helmet or risk getting a huge fine if caught riding without helmet.

  • SullSteez on April 12, 2018

They set up around 20 of these bikes on the high street outside where I work…within a week, most of them have been stolen

  • Gecko on April 13, 2018

Hay China you smart enough! but these are not big enough for some populations and painfully enough some societies are not respectful of other peoples / Companies property. so they deliberately leave them around the place and even throw them in the River Systems? like the Shopping Trolleys from Coles and Woolworths……yes China not all Countries honour you for trying to help them have a life……they hand you bad for good…..

  • Jayon on April 25, 2018

Great way for China to get all the peoples information….

  • Das Boot on May 25, 2018

How much to get a bike sharing program started up here on Mars. I live near Cydonia and the face on Mars. Please help us here to many walks, everything would be much better if we had bikes. Already some man named Elon Musk has just recently sent a car to us with a driver in the seat as well. We should get car in a few months and at least we will have our first car up here on Mars.

  • Nicholas on September 2, 2018

  • El Movie Master on September 8, 2018

Since this video, a bunch of imitators came along and exploited this idea. Now china has an overabundance of bikes piled up in parking lots not being used. Just Google China sharing bike dump and you will see there's thosands upon thousands of bikes of all colors all over the place. The ones that are being used tend to be left in areas that are not designed for bikes to be parked. It really got out of hand.

  • FlixSkate on October 25, 2018
